Work Experience

Position: SHER Officer Feb, 2012 to DateCompany: Parmalat Zambia Limited

Duties and Responsibilities include: Preparation of weekly safety reports, reporting to the Managing Director on site. Preparation of monthly safety reports reporting to the Group Manager – SHER (Africa)

based in South Africa. Prepare quarterly safety reports and report to the Group Manager – SHER (Africa)

based in South Africa. Conduct safety Health environment and first aid training to employees on site. Conduct tool box meetings on site. Contractor Management. Advise on the fire safety Management. Monitoring of all environmental matters on sites for compliancy with the local

Achievements

During my time here at Parmalat Zambia Limited. I was the first person to be hired in the capacity of a safety officer / SHER Officer as per group tittle as result I had to successfully design and implement the health and safety management systems based on the ISO 1400 1international standards and nosa safety standards. My regular monitoring of the effectiveness of and the adherence to the controls has resulted in reduced injuries and incidents to the company and has brought about a sense of safety in the staff at the company. During the 2012 November international group Internal Audit (GIA) – Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems for Parmalat Zambia Limited I managed to get 52% for Kitwe and 54% for Lusaka both sites managed single handed with the help of SHER Representatives, Committee members and safety inspectors on sites.
