RESPECT SAFETY BARRIERS TO AVOID DOMESTIC ACCIDENTS. Domestic Accidents often involve children because they do not perceive all the risks. However, when there is a breach in good practice or safety barriers, domestic accidents can happen to any of us. In this safety post we reflect on how a simple breach in an obvious safety barrier could have led to a serious injury to an employee in his accommodation. DO: • Apply LMRA if discovering any products in a container without labeling. • Store chemicals and other dangerous products in a dedicated and identified place. • Remove and safely dispose of all stored containers of products without labeling. DON’T: • Ever use water bottles to contain chemicals or other dangerous products. • Forget that containers from the makers are labeled and designed to protect people, the product, and the environment. • Leave chemicals or other dangerous products around after using them.
