The ‘Giraffe’ tour guides you through Budapest’s leading contempo-rary exhibit scene as well as some of the city’s major artists’ studios where we hold Q&A’s with up-and-coming artists. We wrap the tour up at our Resident Showroom among contemporary artists’ works and give you a chance to have a look at the featured artists’ portfolios as well.

About Resident Art BudapestResident Art Budapest is an art service company dedicated to organizing guided ‘art tours’ in the heart of Budapest. Our aim is to present works of contemporary and classic Hungarian artists to tourists, art lovers, and art collectors.

Through our art-historian guided tours, we let our guests have a look behind the scenes of Budapest’s vibrant artistic life by giving them the opportunity to meet art dealers, gallerists, and artists.

Our walking tours consist of groups of up to 8 people and last for about 3 hours in the artistic heart of Budapest. The destination of our tours is our showroom, right by the Hungarian State Opera, with its own exhibit of contemporary Hungarian artists.

Fine Art & Antique ShopsSteed

You will love our Antique Shops tours if your primary interest is classic art: be it paintings, sculptures, prints, or furniture. With this tour, our main points of focus are fine art dealers and antique shops as well as art galleries. The Steed tour takes you through Budapest’s most famous ‘art district,’ a home to fine art dealers and antique shops, to offer an introduction to some of the most prestigious galleries in town. We concluding the tour at our Resident Showroom where you can see the featured contemporary artists’ exhibit.

If you are into design or have a knack for unique gifts, souvenirs, or would just like to get a better look at the works of up-and-coming Hungarian designers, then this is the right tour for you. We recommend the ‘Chameleon’ tour if you are interested in exploring something different or just want to get some original and innovative gifts, souvenirs, or memorabilia. We concluding our tour in the Resident Showroom where you can see contemporary artists’ works.

Art and Wine Pelican

Aside from tours, we also offer a wine-tasting event during the presentation of the artworks featured at our Resident Showroom. This is a great opportunity to become more familiar with some of the leading schools and representatives of contemporary Hungarian art with the guidance of an art historian – and be introduced to some of the most exquisite wines of the Carpathian Basin by an expert sommelier.

Resident Showroom

Our Resident Showroom is located at 33 Andrássy Ave, near the Budapest State Opera House. We are an apartment gallery with an exhibition space that showcases a unique and constantly updated selection of artworks by some of the most intriguing up-and-coming Hungarian artists. We choose our artists in a way to present a vibrant, diverse, and high-quality collection of exciting works of art. You can visit our Resident Showroom by appointment as well as during any of the tours we offer.
