1. Right Understanding (seeing things as they really are)

2. Right Thought/Right Intention (positive, loving thoughts towards all living things; not being greedy)

3. Right Speech (be thoughtful with your words; think before you speak)

4. Right Action (be respectful in actions; saving life, not destroying it)

5. Right Livelihood (earn a living without hurting animals or people)

6. Right Effort (generous, kind attitude; banish thoughts/actions that promote hatred , ignorance, or greed)

7. Right Mindfulness (be aware of thoughts, actions, mind at all times)

8. Right Contemplation (direct thoughts and emotions to develop mind; meditating without losing concentration)
