16 kW high head micro hydro scheme in Brecon Beacons National Park
• Total construction costs £115,000• Ynni’r Fro loan £70,000• Annual income forecast of £17,000• Net profit of £3,600• Annual energy generation of 65,833 kWh
Groups are using the income for:
• Reducing fuel bills• Insulating houses in the community• Heating community halls• Training members of the community, for
example to fit boilers or insulation• Building or buying local assets
