Future Plans of Taj Hotels

• it plans to open 83 new hotels globally to take tally to 200 by the end of 2018. (end of 5 years)

• The big plans include ‘Project Island’, to develop the Landsend property at Bandra, Mumbai, into an iconic 1,000-room hotel with 12 restaurants and two ballrooms seating 2,000 each.

• The Taj group of hotels, at present involved in four projects in China, may become the first Indian hotel company to establish its presence in Tibet.
