On the other hand, General Electric is one of the businesses that forbids the formation of religious groups at work. A well-known professor of Cultural Studies and a Portuguese Translator in Houston recently have a speech where he discussed how religion in a professional setting is a complicated and controversial matter and it is becoming an even bigger problem each year as indicated by the substantial increases in the quantity of faith based discrimination legal cases brought against businesses. Over and above being flexible to personal beliefs to an acceptable level, as called for under law, organizations sometimes have to deal with circumstances that put certain employees against other employees or against the business's policies.
