REGISTRATION FORM

BBQ CONTEST SEPTEMBER 10TH

2011

To enter the contest, complete and sign this entry form.

1. Entry Fee $25 with a three place pay out. 1st Place pays $300, 2nd Place pays $125 and 3rd Place

pays $75

2. Each team must provide own cooking device and all equipment necessary for cooking. Electricity

can be provided with ADVANCE notice.

3. Meat will be provided immediately following the Cook’s meeting at 8am that morning. Only meat

provided by event sponsor may be used. (6 baby back ribs)

4. Check in time is 7am-8am. All contestants must be pre-registered.

5. Absolutely no garnish will be allowed. Any garnish will lead to disqualification.

6. Rib turn in time will be 3pm

7. This is an open grill contest…(Electric, Gas, Charcoal, Wood)

8. Sauce is optional. If used it shall be applied directly to the meat while cooking and not pooled or

puddle in the container. Sauce violation shall receive a score of 1 on appearance.

9. Entries will be submitted in a numbered container that will be supplied. Each contestant must

submit at least 6 separate ribs. Meat shall not be sculptured, branded or in rosettes. Aluminum

foil, toothpicks, skewers or other identifying garnish is not allowed in entry.

10. The following cleanliness and safety rules will be applied:

a. No use of tobacco products while handling meat.

b. No alcoholic beverages may be sold or consumed on premises.

c. Cleanliness of the cook, assistants, cooking device and cooking space is required.

d. Shirt and shoes are required to be worn in cooking area.

e. Must maintain a sanitized work area.

f. Prior to cooking; meat must be maintained at 40 degrees or less. Packed in ice. After

cooking meat must be held at 140 degrees or above.

g. You are welcome to hand out samples; however you are not allowed to accept any kind of

payment for them.
