Music Nights
On May 10 and 11, the students in grades 4 to 8 participated in our annual Music Nights. This year’s production featured 2 nights of instrumental band music with performances by the choir. The grade 4 band did a fantastic job for their first year of band! Congratulations to Anoush Mudaliar for his special performance on the piano, and to the 4 awesome MC’s, Ethan Humphrey, Grace Hung, Charu Nathan, and Ashwin Sujithkumar! Thank you to all the students and contributing staff. Thanks again to our very talented Music teachers, Mr. Danny Friedman and Ms. Samantha Huang, for all their hard work during the concerts and in class throughout the year.
Instrument Return Day
If your child in grades 4 to 8 has a rented instrument from Harknett Music, you have 3 options for the end of the year:
• purchase the current rental instrument, • renew the rental agreement now for the next school year, • or return the instrument now.
Students who are purchasing their instrument for next year should not return their instrument but keep it at home over the summer. Students who are returning their rented Harknett Music instrument must bring their instrument to school on or before June 9. Grades 4 and 5 students should drop off their rented instruments to Ms. Huang in Music Room 158 and grades 6 to 8 students should drop off their rented instruments to Mr. Friedman in Music Room 117. As well, parents may return their rented instrument to Harknett Music directly. If you need more information about any of the purchase, rental renewal or return options, please contact Harknett Music at 2650 John St. Unit 15 in Markham, 905-477-1141.
