Tyra West – Exhaust Stacks for LM2500

Maersk Olie Og Gas AS
The Tyra West contract from Maersk was for thesupply of 2 no. turbine exhaust systems in the formof vertical stacks for 2 no.LM2500 gas turbines onthe Tyra West platform E in the North sea.The particular feature of these stacks was theadoption of a floating inner skin to accommodatethermal growth and a relatively cool outer skinwhich together, with insulation between, wasdesigned to prevent thermal stress failure.
