  • Product Name: Imitation Vanilla

    Target Group: Adult females ages 20-45

    Brief HistoryTopco Associates LLC is a privately held company that offers business solutions to member-owners across the nation. Outsourcing to over 50 retailers, it produces food products affordable to families. One brand is Valu Time, found in various dollar and grocery stores in Northeast, South, Midwest, and Western United States.

    Big IdeaCurrently, the front packaging of Valu Time Imitation Vanilla is condensed into one front label. Part of the success of a brand is the design. The present design is cluttered on the front, with undesirable fonts and colors. Competing products look more natural in relation to the product, and have a cleaner feel. To enhance Valu Time brand and attract customers to buy this product, a label redesign is essential. The more natural a product seems, the more customers will trust it is a reliable choice. With an earthy color scheme to match the vanilla plant, and a cleaner look on the front and back, the target audience will be inclined to pick it up. Additionally, a creative yet appealing magazine ad will also enhance the brand name, create a desire for the product, and lead to an increase of sales.

  • Style Guide FONTS Plantagenet Cherokee

    This font is used in the new label design as the logo font between 10-12 pt. It is also used for imitation on the front of the label.

    Tw Cen MT This font style is used in bold for VANILLA on the front label, size 22. It is also used for all other text on the label, ranging 8-10 pt.

    Futura Futura is the body copy style for the book. Use condensed extrabold for heavier titles to contrast the body. Medium is used for large page titles (35 pt) and copy (10-12 pt).

  • Logo RedesignA good brand should always be recognizable, especially in big box stores. Valu Time is a brand that is sold in certain stores across the United States. Although it is not sold in common grocery chains, Valu Time is known for a simplistic

    logo and products that are affordable for families.

    The logo I created is very simple and can be adapted to the color scheme of any product. The font size shown in the logo to the right is 20 pt. The recommended font size, depending on the size of the product, is between 10-30 pt. The label height is 0.5 inches and 2 inches width. Valu Time logo should be placed on the bottom of the product.
