It focuses on increasing cardiovascular fitness and all over muscular strength as increased muscle mass speeds up the basal metabolic rate which leads to increased fat burn: watch your weight melt away! Classes take place in an intimate, fun and beneficial environment. As FemFit is a ladies only course with a female instructor, participants don’t feel intimidated or embarrassed. The instructor provides information and guidance on nutrition and injury prevention and also performs fortnightly measurements to monitor improvement in overall fitness and progress. With three sessions a week, FemFit is the ideal course to gradually build up your fitness levels and ensure you reach your goal of losing weight and feeling great overall in a consistent and perpetual way. What is Recreate®?recreate® is a short term program consisting of a variety of courses offering fitness, lifestyle, adventure, sport, outdoor, dance and aquatic opportunities to improve general well-being and create memorable experiences.

Based at The University of Western Australia, recreate® runs several times a year and is available to the UWA community and the general public likewise.

All courses, unless otherwise stated, run for five weeks.

The UWA recreation & Fitness Centre is the social hub on campus. Located at the northern end of the UWA Crawley campus, it is open to everybody and enjoys great popularity amongst UWA students, staff, alumni and the genral public.

The UWA Watersports Complex and Boatshed are situated on the banks of the Swan river and boast sweeping views of the city skyline, Matilda Bay and Perth’s iconic Kings Park across the water.

With their prime location, the venues not only house a great range of recreate® courses, but also offer a truly unique atmosphere.
