Students in Mrs. E. Eubanks’ second grade class and Mrs. Willis’ fifth grade class wrote collaboratively on their iPods, basing their writing on the book “Recess at 20 Below” by Cindy Lou Aillaud. They also were fortunate to Skype with the author from Alaska!TRANSCRIPT

Recess is Awesome
We go outside after lunch and sometimes go to the room to get the bucket. There are jump-ropes, cones, and a soccer ball in the bucket. When we go outside we play taps, kickball, soccer, tag and race outside. We also zip on the zip line. We swing, run, and play football outside. When it is time to go inside the teacher says "Ok, Let's Go!"
When it is raining we play inside we play silly sports and goofy games. We also play Head up 7 up, Good Morning Mr. judge sometimes we do AR and AM.
When the weather is hot we wear shorts and a t-shirt, when the weather is cold we wear pants and long-sleeved shirts and a coat. The playground is dirty because people litter on the playground. What do you do at recess?
