Whether you choose a casual wedding with a beach barbeque reception or a more traditional wedding with a sit down dinner in our Great House, we want you to enjoy each other and your guests on your special day.

With only 36 rooms in cottages dotting the lush grounds, Nisbet Plantation has a feeling of intimacy no matter how big or small your wedding.

You will be in good hands with Leonora Didder, our personal wedding coordinator, who is delighted to assist you. She’ll ensure that every detail is anticipated in creating your perfect wedding at Nisbet Plantation.

Wedding Coordinator, Leonora DidderHaving joined the Nisbet Plantation family in 1988, Leonora serves as both reservations manager and wedding coordinator. As a native of Nevis, Leonora seamlessly blends island traditions with each couple’s wishes to make their Nisbet wedding unique. Leonora is known for her attention to detail, calm approach and poise – all welcomed attributes when you are planning the biggest day of your lives together.

Deluxe Wedding Ceremony Begin your life as husband and wife with a dreamy Caribbean wedding. At Nisbet, you’re family and we will do everything we can to ensure your special day is everything you dreamed and more.

Our Deluxe Wedding Ceremony ($2,500) includes:

• License, registration and Minister’s fee

• Transportation to/from authorities as necessary

• Choice of Plantation location – private beach, Avenue of the Palms or a romantic backdrop

• Bridal bouquet and boutonniere

• Fresh flowers from the garden for decoration

• Two-tiered wedding cake

• Chilled bottle of champagne for wedding toast

• Services of our professional wedding coordinator

• After your ceremony, celebrate with your choice of either an in-room champagne breakfast or a romantic candlelit dinner on the beach

• One hour of photography services with CD of digital photos (no prints)

• One hour of flutist or steel pan player

• One hour couples massage at The Palms Spa

PLUS any guests attending the wedding will be offered discounted rates, based on the number of additional rooms booked. Minimum stay 4 nights.

Leonora will guide you every step of the way from obtaining your marriage license to finally sharing that special moment when you say “I do.”

Wedding RequirementsThe island of Nevis requires the following of marrying couples:

• Passport or birth certificate

• Spend two working days on the island before the wedding

• Original documents: affidavit stating single status, divorce decree absolute or death certifi-cate of previous spouse, whichever is applicable

Once you arrive at Nisbet, we will accompany you to nearby Charlestown to process your paperwork and obtain your marriage license. Though life on the island is unhurried, the process takes only about 20 minutes.

Preparations & Details

Ceremony LocationsPrivate beach – Say “I do” under a beautiful floral arch or simply with the sea and sky as a backdrop.

Avenue of the Palms – Promise each other forever under gently swaying coconut palms leading from our Great House directly to the ocean.

During your ceremony, the Pastor or Magistrate will read a short scripture or reading and then proceed with the wedding vows. Once the vows and ring exchange are complete, you will toast with champagne and cut the cake!

Beauty and SpaA stylist is available for hair, make-up, manicures and pedicures. The stylist will come to your room to do these treatments, so you can truly relax. These services can also be arranged for the mothers of the bride and groom as well as the bridesmaids. Rates vary by treatment.

Décor and DetailsLeonora will lead you through all the little details that will add to making your day memorable. She’ll introduce you to fresh, tropical flowers found on the

resort’s grounds and on island. Hand-select your flowers for the ceremony and centerpieces. Choose your favorite colors to theme your special day. And bring to life the wedding cake of your dreams.

Photography and VideographyPhotography is included in the Deluxe Wedding package and you will receive 24 complimentary photos. Additional photos can be arranged. Videography is also available. Photos and videos are delivered to Nisbet Plantation two days after the ceremony.

MusicMusic is a wonderful way to set the mood for your special event. Our flutist is quite popular especially with weddings on the beach. We can arrange for a steel pan duo for a true Caribbean flair after you’ve said “I do.” And for your party, an 8-piece local band can play a wide array of your favorites.

Nisbet Plantation prides itself on our fine food and friendly, professional service that sets us apart from other resorts. You may select a number of events to make your celebration special including a rehearsal dinner, bridal luncheon, farewell breakfast, and of course, a wedding reception.

There is an event fee for set up and catering and a per person fee, which Leonora will discuss with you as you make your menu selections.

Reception Whether you choose a simple cocktail reception, a casual barbeque on the beach or a gourmet sit-down dinner in the Great House, your wedding feast will be memorable.

We welcome the opportunity to customize a menu according to your own personal taste. While Leonora will present you with suggestions based on the freshest food of the season, you can select your choice of canapés, cocktails and menu items. Call or e-mail Leonora for sample menus.

Wedding Party FunA destination wedding at Nisbet Plantation is both a celebration and a vacation for everyone.

Our private beach, tennis court, croquet lawn and The Palms Spa provide perfect opportunities for you to enjoy your time together.

We are also happy to organize group outings and transportation for you and your guests. Snorkeling adventures, sailing trips, group hikes to Nevis Peak, horseback riding on the beach and more will give you and your guests plenty of memories to share over the years to come.
