Overview
The author was contracted by Mr. Doug Thibault and Mr. Basil Smith of
Thunder Bay, Ontario to supervise the re-establishment of a grid over their
Sim Lake prospect and a manual stripping program to reveal the nature of the
occurrence. A proton magnetometer survey was also conducted over the
showing in order to enhance the previous survey which was run in 2000.
Work on the property has been limited to what Mr.Thibault and Mr. Smith
have done since acquiring the property in 1996. Before this time another local
prospector, Bill Miron, owned the property and created a number of trenches
around Line 3+00 W . There hasn't been any work recorded on the property
before Mr. Thibault and Mr. Smith acquired it in 1996.
To date the property shows excellent potential for a low grade - high tonnage
Ni - Copper type of deposit and is ready to advance into the next phase of
exploration.
A sever windstorm in the summer of 2000 effectively wiped out the initial grid
over the property. A new grid with 50 meter lines was established over what
was considered the important areas of the grid.
Manual stripping over the main showing was carried out to further expose its
character.
A new Proton Magnetometer at 50 meter line intervals was conducted in order
to further define the boundaries of the intrusive.

Introduction
During the summer of 2004, prospectors Doug Thibault and Basil Smith of
Thunder Bay, contracted the author to supervise a the establishment of a new
grid and review the proton magnetometer data that was collected.
The property is a low grade, high tonnage Copper-Nickel-Cobalt prospect
which has had a number of surveys conducted over it. The purpose of this
program was to re-establish the grid at 50 meter line spacing and run a
detailed survey in order to better define the boundaries of the main showing
and to better outline the extent of the western intrusive.
Location and Access
The property is located approximately 110 kilometers (68 miles) northeast of
the village of Armstrong, which in turn is approximately 280 kilometers due
north of the City of Thunder Bay along Highway 527. It is also located in the
Mining District of Thunder Bay centered at UTM coordinates 416900E l
5659700 N (NTS 52-P-2) (Latitude 51o 12' N and Longitude 88011' W and can
be found on the Sim Lake Area Claim Sheet (G-0400)
Float-equipped aircraft provides access to the property in the summer out of
Armstrong or Nakina and snow machine in the winter off of the Buchanan
Forest Products logging road west of Nakina.
Topography
The property is typical of northwestern Ontario boreal forest with low rolling
areas of outcrop surrounded by black spruce swamp. Cliffs and ridges are
found on the northern section of the property where a line of granitic gneiss's
and pegmatite's outcrop. Vegetation is generally large black spruce, poplar,
and alders in the swamp with a under growth of moss and light moose maple.
The area has unfortunately has undergone a severe wind storm in the fall of
2000 and as a result 30 to 400Xo of the large black spruce have been blown
down making travel across the claim group extremely difficult.

Tenure
Mr. Doug Thibault and Basil Smith of Thunder Bay, Ontario own the
unpatented mineral claims TB 1231961 and adjacent TB 1216877. All work
was preformed on the TB 1231961 claim.
Regional Geology
The property is located within the northeastern portion of the Uchi
Subprovince, which is part of the Superior province of the Precambrian
Shield. This east trending structural belt is composed of predominantly of
highly metamorphosed clastic metasedimentary units and lesser granitic rocks
(2560 to 2700 Ma).
Property Geology
The property is underlain by granitic migmatites and hornblende gabbros.
Gabbros generally occur as a northeast trending body found on the southwest
portion of the property, which eventually flattens out to an east - west strike
near the baseline. This gabbro is in turn intruded by a mineralized east - west
trending mineralized hornblende gabbro that displays two separate phases.
(1. A mineralized hornblende gabbro and 2. A mineralized hornblendite)
There doesn't seem to be any marked difference in the assay values between
the two units
Grid
A total of 7.4 kilometers of line was cut in order to cover the two intrusives on
the property. This was necessary because of the windstorm in the fall of
2000 has blown down about 30 to 4007o of the large black spruce on the
property making travel over the property extremely challenging. This storm
had essentially rendered the original grid useless and required the new grid to
be cut to be of any use.
9. 281 S 4A- . U
Grid lines were cut from the original baseline from O to 10+00 E at 50 meter
intervals and stations established every 25 metres along these lines, azimuth
of the baseline is at 090 degrees with the grid lines perpendicular to this at
000 degrees
Previous Work
The first recorded work in the area was a magnetic survey conducted by
Addicks Canadian Properties Inc. At this time W. Miron did some trenching
and sampling over a mafic intrusive body defined by the survey (Regional
Geologist's Files, Thunder Bay North. Beardmore-Geraldton District). It was
then known as the Sim Lake nickel prospect. W. Miron originally discovered
the prospect having access to his own float plane and the government
airborne magnetometer survey. In 1995, Golden Trump Resources sampled
the mineralized trenches within the known mafic intrusive, which returned
results peaking at Q.46% copper and Q.24% nickel.
The present owners did the Linecutting-VLF-Magnetometer Survey in 1998
under an OPAP Grant (G. White MNDM Property visit, Thunder Bay).
The most encouraging assays from the 1999 mapping-sampling program
were Q.984% Ni, 0.81307o Cu, Q.03% Co and 1.3 Grams PGE's, which was
taken as a grab sample from Line 6+00 W l ~1 +00 N.
Proton Magnetometer Survey
The proton magnetometer survey was invaluable to defining the main and
western intrusives present on the property.
The survey was run using a Sintrex MP-3 Proton magnetometer. Readings
were taken at 12.5 intervals and corrected to the baseline which was tied in
and corrected before the surveying of the grid lines commenced.
Two slightly flattened circular shaped bodies occur over the grid surveyed.
The new survey was successful in outlining a second, western intrusive
occurring between lines 7+50 E and 9+00 E. The occurrence of this body was
suspected from the primary survey conducted in 1998; however this survey;
at the tighter grid spacing was successful in defining it. The main intrusive to
the body dips to the south. This layering may be repeated in the western
intrusive as evident from the two spot highs found within its outline.
The magnetometer also outlined a narrow link between the two bodies
where assays of greater than l *fo nickel were obtained from Inco sampling.
Stripping Program
A program of manual stripping was conducted on the property in the vicinity
of the main showing around line 3+OOE. Two areas were striped using a
Wajax Mark 3 fire pump, chain saws, shovels and brute force. The stripping
revealed the layering of the main body and exemplified the extent of the
disseminated copper and nickel mineralization. Further stripping was
impossible due to the mechanical failure of the fire pump. See Appendix A
for photos of the stripped outcrop.

Conclusions
1. Significant low grade Cu and Ni mineralization occurs within one of the two
hornblende gabbros present on the property. (The western intrusive does not
outcrop and therefore was not sampled.)
2. Both intrusives are well defined by the proton magnetometer surveys.
3. Stripping has revealed the nature of the disseminated cu - ni mineralization
in the main (eastern) intrusive
