From the desIgner I never tire of simple crochet motifs that are easily memorized, portable and quick to put together. There is nothing more fun and yet relaxing than working on projects that have an easy-to-follow, familiar pattern to crochet. This booklet is full of patterns that have nothing complicated – just double crochet and color play.

You’ll begin with a super easy square that is put together in 11 different ways, so you have options. Customize colors to suit your decor, your personality, and your loved ones. It’s surprising how different each one looks as the size and placement of the squares and colors are placed in each throw. I love to empower crocheters to experiment with color. Have fun with color. I encourage you to try some alternate color ways. The easiest way to start is to replace a light tone with another light tone and a dark tone with another dark tone.

I think finishing is a very important element, but it doesn’t have to be complex. All you have to do is to add quick ruffles, picots or scallops for unique finishes. My favorite is the corded edge that gives a touch of tailored couture.

These throws were fun and fast for me to create and I’m so happy to share them with you. Make one, make them all! They make great gifts and you’ll surely impress your friends and relatives with these beauties. Enjoy and have fun!

Regards, Ann Regis

gaugeGauge refers to the number of stitches and rows in a given area. When following a pattern for a garment or other article, the instructions will include a specified gauge. If you do not crochet fabric with the same number of stitches and rows as indicated, your work will not come to the measurements given and you may run out of yarn.

To ensure that you achieve the correct gauge, work a sample or swatch before starting to crochet the actual project. The hook size stated in the pattern is a suggested hook size only. You should use whichever hook gives you the correct gauge.
