> Academic Scholarships and Exhibitions: Year 8 Track candidates are automatically considered on the basis of a strong performance in their entrance examinations and invited to Scholarship interviews (held shortly after the examinations). Those gaining a place through early testing (Year 6 Track) will have the opportunity to compete for Academic Scholarships by completing a Scholarship Application Form in the Autumn Term preceding the year of entry and by taking the Year 8 Track examinations, followed by interviews

> Other Awards available: Music, Drama, Art, Design Technology, Sports; assessment is by audition, portfolio or trial as appropriate, in January of Year 8

> Parents of candidates for Awards in Music, Drama, Art, Design Technology or Sports must apply via the relevant form which can be found on the website under ‘Admissions’ and ‘Awards and Bursaries’ or requested by post from the Admissions Off ice. Forms must be submitted by the end of December preceding the year of entry

> Candidates may apply for multiple Awards

> All candidates, including those gaining a place through early testing, will be eligible to compete for Awards

13+ Scholarships and Awards Bursaries

> Means-tested bursary awards of up to 100% remission of fees are available

> Applications should be made between the beginning of October and the end of November preceding the proposed year of entry.

Extra Time and/or Laptop Use in Entrance Tests and ExaminationsThese arrangements may be made on the basis of an educational psychologist’s report and at the discretion of Mill Hill School (details are available on our website)

Acceptance of an Off er> 13+ and 14+ off ers are unconditional in the majority

of cases

> In order to accept an off er of a place an Acceptance Form (sent with any off er letter) must be completed and submitted with a non-refundable Acceptance Deposit of £2,000

> Please register online at: millhill.org.uk Go to ‘Admissions’ and the form can be found by clicking on ‘Registration’

> A non-refundable registration fee of £150 is payable for applications made by residents of the UK and £200 for those resident overseas

BoardingWeekly and full boarding places are available from Year 9 (13+) and an application is made by ticking the appropriate box on the online Registration Form

> Applications to be made by the end of October of Year 6

> References are requested from feeder schools in November

> Assessment Day at Mill Hill School in mid November comprising computer-based tests (Reading Comprehension, Verbal, Non-Verbal and Numerical Reasoning), individual interview and small group activity

> Unconditional offer letters are sent out by February of Year 6

> If unsuccessful in Year 6 Track, candidates may ask to be placed on a waiting list

> Sixth Form candidates are encouraged to apply in the Autumn Term preceding the year of entry, and are generally required to secure a minimum of two grade 7 and three grade 6 passes at GCSE, with some subject-specific requirements. Applications in the Spring and Summer Terms may be considered, subject to availability

> We request confidential references and predicted grades from candidates’ schools; based on this information those who appear to be most likely to be academically suitable are invited to interview

> Offers are made to successful candidates, conditional upon achieving the required GCSE grades

> Applications to be made by end of October of year preceding entry


> Entrance examinations at Mill Hill School – English, Maths, Science, French taken in December preceding the proposed year of entry

> Individual interviews are held in January preceding the proposed year of entry for those candidates who perform sufficiently well in the entrance examinations
