THE VERY BEGINNINGFounded more than 20 years ago, our company visionary was a young woman on a mission to help family-owned small businesses of the world succeed; from there The Mantooth Marketing Company was born. Together we live out our purpose as defined by our company name: strong lead in Native American Cherokee.

Since leaving the corporate world to start The Mantooth Marketing Company, our founder Connie Hanrahan, and our band of merry makers have been serving northern Colorado in all areas of marketing, event planning, and public relations. We are proud to work with many locally owned businesses and organizations in the region and we would love to add your business to our growing family. There is nothing we enjoy more than talking about our clients and being part of their success. In other words, we sing your praises.

Just like our mascot, Georgie the Boston Terrier, our loyalty runs deep. Our successes with clients come directly from our belief that every decision is based on a possible relationship; not only our own relationship with clients but also how the community views their relationship with you.

Let’s start at

We are often asked two questions:

“WHERE DID THE NAME COME FROM?” AND, “WHAT’S WITH THE DOG?” Ironically MANtooth employees are 90% women, but we fill the role of ‘strong lead’ from our namesake quite well. And the dog, well if you chat with Connie for just a few minutes, you’ll quickly understand how her dog Georgie, the free-spirited Boston Terrier, became the official Mantooth mascot. You see, Georgie represents everything about Mantooth; she’s loyal, playful, alert, curious, gives unconditionally, and is even a little feisty.

Our mantra is our mission: we are a marketing company who partners creatively with those who value their RELATIONSHIPS and brand.

We value COMMUNITY engagement and consider ourselves leaders with an active staff; authentic relationships with the people and companies we align ourselves with; COMMITMENT to the work we have been trusted to create; RESPECT for ourselves and those we interact with; and we do what we say and say what we do with the upmost INTEGRITY.

We choose to work with clients who understand the importance of supporting the community in which they live. We believe in this so much, we make it a priority to bring ideas and community organizations to the forefront of your business plan, in turn while also evangelizing your community passions and interests to those we meet.

OUR PRIDE AND JOY• Established in 1995

• In 2016, our leader, Connie Hanrahan, was recognized as a Coloradoan Mind+Body Superwoman for her dedication to the northern Colorado community

At Mantooth we don’t just try to find a quick fix. Instead, we spend time finding out what the problem is so that we can come up with creative solutions to meet your organization’s goals. Unsure of what exactly your goals are? We figure out the right questions to ask to produce the right answers that will lead us there. In other words, we help you sort out what you want to say, and then we find a creative way to tell your story across different media forms to grab the attention of your target audience.

In our first steps of working with a client we ask:

Who is your target market?

What is happening in your industry?

Who are your competitors?

What makes your business stand out?

What are your strengths and weaknesses?

When determining a marketing strategy, we are able to provide you with the market research to make educated decisions on where to spend your money. Depending on your business and budget, we create integrated marketing campaigns that will make decision-making easy and efficient.

One of Mantooth’s specialties is relationship marketing. Relationship marketing differs from other forms of marketing in that it recognizes the long-term value of customer relationships and extends communication beyond intrusive advertising and sales promotional messages.

Tactics Mantooth offers for marketing strategy:

ADVERTISING creating a presence for your brand

BRANDING differentiating your business to stand out

DESIGN telling the story of your business through images and words

DIGITAL taking your message across online platforms

EVENTS a platform to show off what you’ve got!

PUBLIC RELATIONS telling people what you do through how you act

WE BELIEVE THAT THE FIRST STEP IN DETERMINING A MARKETING PLAN IS TO DEVELOP A STRONG STRATEGY. IT’S THE GAME PLAN, THE SET LIST, AND THE BLUEPRINT TO SUCCESS.

BRANDING

Your brand is one of the most important aspects of any organization, large or small. It communicates everything that your organization’s product or service embodies - who you are, who you want to be and how consumers perceive you. It’s a promise to your customer. A strong brand can lead to major brand equity, adding value to your organization’s products or services and often perceived quality and emotional attachment from your target audience.

We partner together with you to create a consistent, unique brand that people will come to recognize. Branding services offered:

“The branding package Mantooth developed for the 10th Anniversary of the Gardens on Spring Creek was not only beautifully creative but also a useful tool for all of our events, website, community outreach, and e-marketing. The package incorporated our commemorative 10th anniversary flower to tie back to our roots while effectively connecting to our deep mission to grow community, together. The Mantooth team members that worked on our account were great listeners, creative, and very cost-effective.”

- JASON YEATER, OWNER, ALL TERRAIN LANDSCAPING

By 2019, digital ad spending is projected to reach $93 billion.

Digital marketing is an ever-evolving component of today’s marketing strategy. Gone are the days where consumers only received the information you delivered to them about your company, products, or services. Consumers are not only exposed to what your company says about your brand, but what the media, your peers, and the public is saying as well. People want companies and brands they can trust, they want communications that are personalized and relevant to their needs and preferences. Consistency and understanding your audience is crucial. It involves the use of the right channels for your business, creating relevant experiences and meaningful conversations and relationships. And we’re here to help.

At Mantooth, we have designated team members who are certified specialists and experts in digital marketing and know how to utilize it to benefit each of our clients.

EVENTS

Mantooth executes an average of 25 events each year, with a total of more than 450 events successfully executed in 20+ years. For several of our marketing clients, we use events as a tactic in their marketing strategy to introduce them to the community through social, brand awareness events.

When we’re hired to do an event for a business or organization we do all that it takes to make the event a success, beginning with creating a brand for the event and working all the way through with financial management and day-of execution.

Each of our team members is involved with the event side of Mantooth, as events are only one piece of the overall marketing strategy for the client.

“People frequently ask us how we are in the press so often. Granted, we do a lot to help out our community, but the real answer is Mantooth. Thanks to Mantooth, Houska appears in local media outlets dozens of times each year. Because of their strong connections with the press, we are able to share our story with community members and continually connect with our audiences in a genuine, organic way.”

- DENNIS AND NOREEN HOUSKA, OWNERS OF HOUSKA AUTOMOTIVE

PR is more than just writing a press release and sending it out, it is about building a relationship with the community and your target market. PR is about generating community awareness and showcasing the positive impact that your business has.

We use PR as a tactic with nearly every client because if planned well, there is always a story to tell. We use strategy and creativity to generate newsworthy stories about what you’re doing.

Last year, our clients were in the news more than 500 times!

In addition, Mantooth has an 89% pick-up rate.

PUBLIC RELATIONS

THE GAME PLAN

TOGETHER WE ARE YOUR FULL-SERVICE TEAM, BAND, PACK, AND CHEERLEADERS

Each client we partner with is assigned an account manager to fit the personality of that particular company. And just like the lead singer of a band, account managers need the rest of the pieces to make it all work in perfect harmony; a project manager, graphic designer, digital, public relations, and community strategists,

and our hard-working interns all come together to sing your song.

client account manager

And…Action! Our team introduces you to the media, strategically distributes collateral, purchases advertising, and works the plan.

To our core, we believe success cannot come without strong community, both online and off. As your band, we’ll sing your song to others, and bring some fans to you, all with the same goal; to make the place we all live and work in even better.

Armed with information about your brand and industry, nothing is more energetic than a group of people and a blank white board ready to curate more ideas than what will fit on that white board.

BRAINSTORMHere’s where we get to take those scribbles on napkins and other bursts of genius we had in the shower and create a comprehensive plan to include all relevant strategies and tactics.

PLAN

What are you currently doing? What is your competition doing? What has worked? What has not? What is trending in your industry?

RESEARCH AND AUDIT

Once the plan is ready, the real fun begins. Graphic designers make pretty things to portray your brand and culture and lovely words are written to exude your greatness.

What’s it worth if we don’t know if it worked? Our team treats your budget like our own budget and we work hard to ensure we are picking the right strategies that are cost-effective.

Most company owners or CEOs might not sweat the small stuff in the daily operation of their company, but Connie makes the details a priority because she realizes that’s where relationships start and how they successfully develop. Connie is involved behind the scenes with each and every one of Mantooth’s clients — even personally commenting on Facebook posts. It is this individual attention and loyalty that has helped build Mantooth, one relationship at a time, into a successful company that was recognized by BizWest as one of their “100 Fastest Growing Companies in Northern Colorado” and 2014’s “Small Business of the Year” by the Fort Collins Chamber of Commerce.

Connie’s passion and commitment to the community provided the foundation for Mantooth when she started the company in 1995. She has been able to develop a niche of not only creating a marketing plan based on relationships with the community, but taking the plan to new levels through grassroots efforts and community outreach programs. She’s done it with great enthusiasm and with her two Boston Terriers at her side, Georgie and Lily.

While at the helm of Mantooth, Connie has received many honors. She was named “Women of Influence” and “Outstanding Mentor of the Year” by the Northern Colorado Business Report (now BizWest), and honored by the MS Society with the Hope Award at the Dinner of Champions in 2012.

FOUNDER AND CHIEF IMAGINATION OFFICER

WHEN SHE’S NOT MANNING MANTOOTH, CONNIE LIKES TO:• Work in the gardens around her home

• Cheer on the CSU Rams

• Read a good mystery poolside, preferably surrounded by palm trees

• Play 18 holes with her husband, with more pars/birdies than bogies on the scorecard

• Enjoy her favorite food – Mexican

13

When she’s not running towards a finish line, Linda is running around the country—even the world–traveling to places like Singapore and Disney. But running Mantooth’s finances is one thing she does best. As our Queen of Finance, Linda maintains the daily accounting duties and reporting–making sure we, and our clients, always stay on budget.

Linda is originally from Canada. She moved to Colorado in 2002 after dating a wonderful man long distance for two years. She has worked in the accounting field for 33 years for a variety of people and companies. About eight years ago she decided to give up golfing and gardening and take on her own business. (She’ll keep running for as long as she can!)

QUEEN OF FINANCE AND HUMAN RESOURCES

WHEN SHE’S NOT RUNNING IN ANY CAPACITY, LINDA LIKES TO:• Travel to near and far places

• Hang out on the beach

• Gush over her baby grandson!

14

ACCOUNT MANAGER

JUICY SECRETS ABOUT JILL:• She loves a good true crime podcast and

shows about the paranormal.

• Does it show progress like shoveling snow, painting, puzzles or raking leaves? She is on it!

• She has a crazy love of dogs, including her own Scottish Terrier, Fergus. If there is a dog nearby, she will surely be over to pet it and find out the name, breed, how old and other details about it.

• Rocking out in the car with her husband and three kids is a favorite for the family. If you see her, honk and laugh!

Born and raised in rural Ohio, Jill graduated from Miami University with a degree in Mass Communications and a minor in Political Science. She has marketing and public relations experience in a variety of industries: construction, banking, distance learning, broadcast media and government, just to name a few. She’s been in Northern Colorado long enough to call it home and has a vast list of contacts from her previous positions. If you are working with a vendor, chances are she can name an employee from that company, or play three degrees of separation to get a connection.

Jill’s wealth of experience has made her a whiz at leading clients through customized strategic marketing plans from start to finish. Her strong and consistent communication skills are not only appreciated by clients but by her colleagues as well. You can always count on Jill to walk into a meeting with her trusty-dusty notebook and favorite pen, ready to take action!

FACTS ABOUT CASEY:• You think you’re a baseball fan?

Casey is such a huge Chicago Cubs fan that she and her husband named their daughter Wrigley, after Wrigley Field

• Her favorite place to chill and unwind is at the beach

• She passed on her soccer-playing genes to her kids, who are all super active

ACCOUNT MANAGER

After tackling marketing in the publishing, banking and beverage realms, Casey has landed at Mantooth. With more marketing assets than Fort Collins has breweries, she is fully equipped to execute countless tactics, including direct mail, catalogs, email marketing, social media, blogs, AdWords, radio, video production and more. Her expertise mixed with her energetic personality and aptitude for multitasking make her a valuable member of the Mantooth team.

Although a proud Coloradan for nearly a decade, Casey originally hails from the Midwest. She was born and raised in Kentucky (listen close and you can still detect a Southern accent!), where she attended Murray State University, and then moved to Illinois where she obtained her master’s degree in business administration from Southern Illinois University. When she’s not taking the marketing world by storm, you can find her spending time with her husband and four daughters, enjoying a glass of wine, or maybe a little bit of both!

• Her favorite movie is “It’s Complicated”

We think Callie has a cape hidden under her shirt because she has a knack for saving the day! Plus, only someone with super powers can get as much done as she does in 24 hours. Callie uses her talents to conquer large events, wrangle staff and tackle an event from beginning to end for Mantooth’s clients. Whatever we need her to do when it comes to events, she helps get the job done.

Before taking on Mantooth, Callie worked as the volunteer coordinator for the 2012 U.S. Amateur Championship and the 2013 Solheim Cup where she managed over 1,500 volunteers. A Colorado native, she yearned to stay close to home and Mantooth gave her that opportunity.
