We are a secondary vocational business school. The High Comprehensive School Brace Radica has got a population of 798 students who can choose among four different courses: economics, trade business and commercialism, administration and office business and computer technologies. Djakovo is situated 35 km far from Osijek, the second largest city and university centre in the country The north- eastern part of Croatia is an area of flat Panonian plane where cereals are grown in quantities which satisfy the need of the entire country . We have already had two Comenius 1, one Comenius 3 and number of other European projects , so we would like to continue our development of our understanding of the European dimension of education and learning. Základní škola a Slaměníkova

mateřská škola Radslavice - CZ

Radslavice primary school is the small village

school with 59 pupils 6 - 10 years aged. There

are five grades in three classes taught by four

teachers and partly by the headmistress. The

school is well equipped with teaching aids and

computers in two special classrooms. We teach

3 pupils with special needs. Our region is known

for high unemployment. Many families can not

allow children to contact with foreign language

environment. Involvement of children in an

international project is the best way to allow

them to link other countries.

This is our team - all teaching staff and

children (some of them were unfortunately ill).

As you can see, our school has a new facade

and windows. In 2011 we completed a major

reconstruction of school building. Our children

can learn in modern classrooms with interactive

equipment. We also have wheelchair access in

all rooms. At the work on the project Eco

School Links are involved all pupils (7 - 10

years) and teaching staff. We are glad that we

belong to an amazing group of Comenius. Come

and see us, we will show you everything that you

find interesting.

Primary School of Sises

Primary School of Sises is situated in the rural vil-lage of Sises in the county of Mylopotamos, Rethim-non, Crete, Greece. Our school is in a disadvantaged area, distanced from the city of Rethimnon and Heraklion and placed in the middle of the two cities next to mountains and sea. Our school is very small in a difficult agricultural not wealthy area. Each teacher has to teach two different classes with dif-ferent curriculum. We also have a lot of migrant stu-dents from Albania and Boulgaria and students who have parents from different nationalities. Comenius project gives each individual child the op-portunity to explore and develop their skills and knowledge and their fullest potential within the con-text of the European dimension and the common identity notion. It will also help them understand that the environmental problems are not situated in one country but in every country and we can work together to find solutions and ideas for a better world.

Circolo Didattico di Procida

The island of Procida ,the smallest

in the gulf of Naples, right in the

middle of the Mediterranean sea,

means to be a laboratory of col-

laboration and bridge between

different shores of histories and

cultures, languages and traditions.

Its consolidated experience of

dialogues between peoples still

goes on in the openess of its small

but rather vibrant muticultural

community.

In the school garden, opposite

a solitary church, a tree blossoms

unannounced for a little while and

then back to its leafless life for

a long year. It lives shortly but,

in this week, what a celebration!

Dun Gorg Preca Primary ‘C

Our school is situated in the city of Hamrun.

Some of the children come from homes after

having problems at their family home.

The school is rather old but has a great his-

tory of success. Important people such as

our late President Dr Guido Demarco at-

tended in our school when he was young. Till

now the school never participated in a

Comenius Project.

The school has already done various activities

about ecology.

We have set up an eko skola committee. This

is made up of 14 student members called eko

skola buddies. These eko skola buddies have

been chosen by election. Each class has an

eko skola buddy.

The eko skola committee has now finished

the review process. This is a process where

the eko skola members make a review of the

school. They analyze the school to check the

current situation of the school.

We are currently working on the action plan

to make our school a better place and maybe

even get the GREEN FLAG!!!

Our school is situated in Alcântara - a parish

of Lisbon, with Monsanto Park as his

"partner". It belongs to the Group of Schools

Francisco Arruda, along with four other

schools in the 1st cycle. It is an educational

establishment which in this school year has 9

classes, from 1st to 4th grade, with a total

of 182 students.

At school we try to give to the children’s

support´s and new experiences, because

many of them can’t ever have from their

family. That includes visiting different places

or common places that they never have been

there, seeing cultural moment’s,

production of shows with the students and

activities that involves all school with other

objective, give them autonomy of

doing things from themselves and the power

of choice and responsibility.

Other fact it´s that from six years ago, un-

til now the population of emigrants has been

growing, we have student’s from

Brazil, Mocambique, Angola, Guine, India,

Cabo Verde and China.

With this school population it’s very impor-

tant the communication with other school’s

and show the type of work and learning’s

that they make. Communicating with Euro-

pean partners, our students enrich their

learning.

kindergartens, elementary schools and middle

schools (until 9º grade). We have a total of

85 teachers and 950 students in 9 institu-

tural heritage.

We believe that a multicultural ap-

proach to learning will enrich the lives

of these children and give them some

of the tools they need for a future of

social, religious and cultural tolerance.

We aim to involve our school,

(students, teachers and staff) our

community, our region and our country

educative system departments in the

process of building a European identity based

in the collaborative work of children, schools

and communities.

protection and consider shaping ecological

attitudes among our students and teachers

as essential for our safe and healthy exis-

tence in Europe’s natural environment in the

next decades.

III. osnovna šola Celje, Slovenia III. OŠ Celje is a smaller primary school located in the heart of Celje. It is one of 8 primary schools in and around the city of Celje and currently has 372 pupils with 38 staff members. Unlike some other primary schools around Europe, Slovene primary schools educate pupils from the early age of 6 up until they are 14-15 years old. This puts us in a unique position to follow our pupils’ development from small children into young adults more closely. It is both a challenge and a huge responsibility. The school building itself is over 100 years old and was always used as an educational institution. It has been a pri-mary school for over 50 years now and has been somewhat renovated. The original building was with-out a gym which was added on later. There are also two outside playgrounds mostly used for sport activi-ties and after school programmes. III. OŠ Celje offers a variety of subjects, most of which are determined by the state, we do, however, offer some specific programmes other schools do not. For example we are currently one of the rarer schools to be offering a mandatory second foreign language and an optional third one for pupils from 12 to 15 years old. We also offer special interest programmes like chess education, different sport activities (cycling, football, badminton, hiking, etc.), knitting, drama club, debate club, book and film club and many more. It is our wish and goal to make our pupils feel ap-preciated and welcome to our school as well as any other guests who pay us a visit. We may be rela-tively small in size but big in spirit and enthusiasm. It is due to this last reason that we started reach-ing out to other schools outside Slovenia almost 10 years ago and we will probably never stop. Getting to know new friends and colleagues across Europe through Comenius enriches us and makes us try more and work harder towards a common goal, which is to become a school pupils will be proud of and will not mind visiting every day.
