PROFILE Since graduating in Furniture & Product Design at Kingston University in 1994 and motivated by a desire to better service my ambitions as a designer, my career objective was to gain hands on experience in the roles and processes involved in providing bespoke furniture and joinery solutions. I made a conscious decision to explore the traditional cabinet makers trade alongside contemporary carpentry, joinery, construction and property renovation. I knew that as a young man I could maximise on my career path by understanding the industry from this perspective and as I matured, learn the relevant technical software for management and design to support this invaluable experience. The prociency with which I now design, project manage and communicate ideas and concepts, is ecient and realistic. My understanding of the full scope of process from concept to completion is sympathetic and insightful, contributing to this ease and eciency. I have found therefore that projects have fewer risks and are delivered with certainty and condence. Working with and alongside Architects, Designers and Technical trades in a Project Management capacity has kept me in touch with the individuals that make the team and the insight and understanding with which I can encourage a consistent standard of execution from all involved. Architects, Designers and Clients are reassured by my understanding of design and dedication to the end product. Trades, services and craftsmen recognise my knowledge of the manufacture and installation process and appreciate my realistic and respectful approach to exploring solutions within their trades. Throughout my career development, I have in essence been self-employed and thus self motivated, focussed in an entrepreneurial manner to the quality driven accumulation of business opportunities and leads and the ecient execution of projects. Working closely with Interior Designers, Architects and Property developers in the luxury sector, I am as familiar with creating a designers mood board as I am with an evolving construction site, the workshops and factories that manufacture the work and the coordination of the team of delivery specialists and installers of these completed furniture pieces. I have developed trusted relationships with fabricators and design teams who recognise my conscientious work ow and trust my recommendations and direction. PROFILE

Since graduating in Furniture & Product Design at Kingston University in 1994 and motivated by a desire to better service my ambitions as a designer, my career objective was to gain hands on experience in the roles and processes involved in providing bespoke furniture and joinery solutions.

The proficiency with which I now design, project manage and communicate ideas and concepts, is efficient and realistic. My understanding of the full scope of process from concept to completion is sympathetic and insightful, contributing to this ease and efficiency. I have found therefore that projects have fewer risks and are delivered with certainty and confidence.

Throughout my career development, I have in essence been self-employed and thus self motivated, focussed in an entrepreneurial manner to the quality driven accumulation of business opportunities and leads and the efficient execution of projects. Working closely with Interior Designers, Architects and Property developers in the luxury sector, I am as familiar with creating a designers mood board as I am with an evolving construction site, the workshops and factories that manufacture the work and the coordination of the team of delivery specialists and installers of these completed furniture pieces. I have developed trusted relationships with fabricators and design teams who recognise my conscientious work flow and trust my recommendations and direction.

Over the past 20 years I have accumulated a broad range of skills and contacts in the industry. It is important to highlight though that these skills have been developed in a purposeful manner but do not follow any traditional career path. As a result I remain an adaptable and resourceful individual. I have always, in whatever capacity or size of project, been client facing, carried out my own marketing, monitored market changes, secured new business whether a one-off commission or contract period, had a hands on approach to design and manufacture, liaised directly with trades and services and will always insist on a face to face approach to project management and delivery.

In the right business these varied skills and adaptable approach to any task have always proved to be an asset worth including in small teams.

Please take time to visit the included links to support this summary of experience.

Thanks for your time.

Two developer projects, overseeing budgets up to £840K. Working closely with the client, the building contractor and the client’s QS and management team. Value engineering was key and direct from source fabrication was implemental in achieving significant client savings without compromising quality. TESTIMONIALS

“Chris was our point of contact on site and dealt with all matters relating from room to room variance, quality issues, specifications, delivery and installation, snagging, etc. Throughout the project I was most impressed with Chris’ hands on attitude and his proactive approach to solving issues as they arose.  He was never one to just report a problem to us, if a problem arose he would always have a suggestion as to how it might be overcome and more often than not his suggestions were very good indeed. I would thoroughly recommend his services to anybody looking for a knowledgeable craftsman who is capable of handling a complex installation.” Sean Sutcliffe. Managing Director. Benchmark Furniture. https://www.benchmarkfurniture.com/Projects/Hospitality/Hotels/Great-Northern-Hotel

"He is passionate about his work and professional in his conduct, collaborating with all the GNH team towards a successful completion of a very demanding project.” Edd Sevestre. Director. Tekne Shopfitting LTD http://www.tekne.co.uk/projects/test-project-2/

“Chris skilfully manages to galvanise the various trades and seek solutions on site therefore reducing downtime on the decision making process.” Daniel Alderson-Smith. Director of yoo Furnishings. 2014
