6.1  Diffusion  •  Molecules  move  across  the  cell  membrane  by  a  process  called  

diffusion.  •  Diffusion  is  the  movement  of  molecules  from  areas  of  greater  

concentra5on  to  areas  of  lesser  concentra5on.
