Environment: Android, Eclipse, XCode, Objective-C, Windows Phone 7

Reach Me is a location tracking application which allows the end user to get the location of familymembers, colleagues, employees within different group. User can tag the location of the user andget notification while the user reaches in range of previously tagged location.

Application allows the user to add the Emergency contact numbers and message. Sendspreconfigured SMS to defined list of emergency Help Mobile Numbers on pressing Emergency SendMessage button.

It allows putting the current location on the map in real time. For tracking location it uses acellphone's GPS and Google Maps. As long a person leaves the application running on his or herphone, the app will submit the live location of the phone enabling others to watch. As soon as theapplication is closed, no more updates will come in.

Service Features

•Always On: Once the app starts, it continues to run, even after the phone reboots. It runs quietlyin the background and requires no human interaction. If the app is killed in thetask bar, it will resume running after a while.

•Complete Group tracking .

•History of tagged location.

•Supports many devices.

•Easily manageable.


Business Challenges •After the project feasibility analysis, risk analysis and all the technical conclusions were done, theywere submitted for approval. Following that was the design prototype submission to give a realisticvisualization to the project.

•User needs to register for using the application.

•It allows bifurcating the Users in different groups like friends, family, office. User can add otherusers in different groups by Add Device.

•Group Map: it shows the last location of all the members of the Group.

•Device Map : the app will submit the live location of the User for the entire route they travel.

•User can tag the location of the user and get notification while the user reaches in rangeof previously tagged location.

•Configurable list of Emergency Helper Mobile Numbers .Configurable emergency SMSAlert Message. Sends preconfigured SMS to defined list of emergency Help MobileNumbers on pressing Emergency Call button
