Requirement

Haryana State Wide Area Network is operational in the Haryana State by connecting state Head Quarters on 10Mbps MPLS cloud and between district headquarters to 126 Blocks/Sub-divisions/Tehsils/Sub-Tehsils on dedicated lease line link of 2Mbps each.

Further 290 horizontal offices of various departments located all over the state have also been connected on SWAN on dedicated lease link of 2Mbps. Another 358 offices of four more departments, Haryana Police, offices located in linear manner in sector 2 & 4. Panchkula as well as in sector 5 Panchkula, are also being connected on dedicated lease link of 2 Mbps.

Hartron has invited Expression of Interest from service providers operating in the Chandigarh, Haryana and Delhi circle for providing the requisite bandwidth for Haryana State Wide Area Network

Proposed SWAN Model (OPTION -1) Scalability :

- SWAN models SHQ is connected to all location with 2 mbps Lease line. In present situation this will wok fine .But by keeping the future growth in mind , this bandwidth will not be sufficient for serve the purpose.

- Upgradation in bandwidth is quite difficult because of changes in hardware.

Redundancy :- If redundancy is required for lease line network , it is very difficult . Customer

has to take another lease line as a backup. Due to this, cost will go up..

Security :- The data flowing on lease line network is not secure. Its plain data is flowing

on the wire. It is possible that this can be misused.

QoS :- Quality of Service is very difficult on this network.
