Getting married inCosta Rica is a simpleand straightforward

process with a fewrequirements. By lawtwo witnesses arerequired to attestthat they know thecouple and that thebride and groom areeach enteringmarriage by theirown will and areeach legally able tobe married (they areboth single).

REQUIREMENTS FOR GETTINGMARRIED IN COSTA RICA:

A valid passport is required forthe bride, the groom and each

witness. Copies of each arerequired for the notary priorto the ceremony.

Two witnesses must bepresent at the ceremony.

Certificate of marital statusfor groom and bride isrequired

A wedding informationquestionnaire must becompleted prior to the

ceremony

your marriage certificate, yournames will appear as theycurrently appear on yourpassports. You can start theprocess in order to change yourlast name in your Country ofResidence if you wish to do sowhen your marriage certificateis sent to your Country.

Married at Rancho Margot 2012, 110 Guests

Ed & ReneeGetting married at Rancho Margot for us was an obviouschoice. The stunning location, but also the vision of ownerJuan Sostheim and his family made it our ideal weddinglocation. Our family and some friends flew in from theNetherlands, where we are originally from, as well as CostaRica & Nicaragua.

We wanted to make optimal use of everything the Rancho hadto offer, so we used flowers from the gardens for decorationand the kitchen team did an excellent job in preparing all thefood. Throughout the event the atmosphere was very relaxedand everybody was doing their utmost to provide a great time.The Rancho crew danced with us late on our wedding day andfor all of us thought it an unforgettable experience.
