KASHMIR CRISIS

India-administered Kashmir has been under curfew restrictions for over eight months. Stocks of food and medicine have been almost completely depleted.

It is vital that we keep supporting Kashmir in this critical time, as our partners on the ground are one of the few charities allowed to work in curfew zones.

‘At home, everywhere I looked, I could see housesburnt down.People just like me were being killed in their homes.

It felt like we would never be safe again. I can play with my friends at the children’s centre. I can forget

all of the scary memories here.’

Illuminating the Qibali Masjid is a Sadaqah Jariyah, which will benefit worshippers for generations to come, in sha’ Allah.

If you donate in the name of a loved one who has passed away, they can be a part of these incredible rewards.

ILLUMINATE THE FRONT PRAYER ROWSOF THE BLESSED MASJID AL-AQSA

The Prophet (saw) was asked, ‘If one of us cannot visit it [Masjid Al-Aqsa],

what should we do?’

He [the Prophet (saw)] said, ‘Then he should make a gift of some oil

to be lit therein [in its lamps].

For indeed the one who gifts this to it, will be like the one who has prayed therein [equivalent to one thousand prayers]’.

SPONSORAN ORPHAN

Giving Orphans a Future

Muhammad and Aida are orphans in Sudan whose lives have been transformed by generous donors like yourselves. They live with their three siblings, four cousins and aunt and uncle in a single house. Their uncle is a labourer who works a lot of odd jobs to provide for them all, but his meagre income barely covers the basic necessities.

‘Other boys in the neighbourhood sell tissues and water bottles in the street. I am the only boy in this neighbourhood

who has the opportunity to go to such a good school. I’m really grateful to my sponsor and my teachers for caring

for me and giving me a better life’.

– Muhammad, aged 13

The Messenger of Allah (saw) said,

‘Paradise has a door which is called ‘Joy’

– only those who bring joy to children

will pass through it’.

[Dailami]

14 15

‘Since our parents died, our aunt and uncle have taken care of us. There are eleven people in this house and

it’s really hard for everyone to eat. I’m grateful to have food every day thanks to my sponsor’.

– Aida, aged 10

Sponsor an Orphan

R2 160 annually supports an orphan with their education, medical

check-ups and school meals.

R2 200 can feed an orphan

for one year.

What Does Your Support Mean to an Orphan?

The value of an orphan sponsorship is immeasurable. Yes, your monthly sponsorship provides a child with an education, medical check-ups and healthy school meals – but it also does so much more.

For young children who have just lost a parent, this sponsorship represents security, protection and stability, letting them know they don’t have to worry about going hungry or getting sick. For older orphans, this sponsorship enables them to reach their full potential and build a bright future, giving them a chance to escape the trap of poverty.

GIVE SADAQAHJARIYAH

‘As for that which benefits the people,

it remains on the Earth’.

[The Noble Qur’an, 13:17]

‘A masjid is a house of Allah. Without a masjid in the community, where is Allah’s home? Building is a beautiful Sadaqah Jariyah which

will benefit the giver and the community for many generations to come’.

– Imam Yaya, from his new masjid in Mali

SADAQAH JARIYAH literally meansa continuous, ongoing, flowing charity’. It is a gift

that not only benefits others in this life, but also you and your loved ones in the next life.

R250Olive tree

R300Gift of sight

Just being able to see this means you’ve got an advantage over countless numbers of people all over the world. Cataract removals are simple, yet life changing procedures which restore sight and can remove blindness almost instantly.

R600Farming tools and seeds

Having farming tools ensures land can be cultivated for its maximum benefit and otherwise barren land can be put to use. Your gift will ensure the work gets done and families are empowered to feed themselves and sustain a livelihood.

The olive tree rarely exceeds 8 metres in height, but it packs a whole lot of punch. This gift will provide food, oil and medi-cine for hundreds of years. Olive trees are the main source of livelihood for over a million Palestinians, helping to sustain generations to come. The trees are planted twice a year and take between 3-5 years to start bearing fruit.

Every Gift comes with a customisable
