Introduction to the NBCNBC Bearings is the product of National Engineering Industries Limited (NEI) Set up in 1946 The company formerly known as National Bearing Company LtdIN 1958 changed its name to National Engineering Industries Ltd

BEARINGBearings are used with rotating partsReduce FrictionPrinciple is that rolling reduces frictionBased on thrust and load forces

Introduction to Bearings Ball Bearings Radial and Thrust loads Roller Bearings Radial and Thrust loads Taper Bearing Single & Double row roller bearing

Advantages Journal bearings:-

Requires little radial space Run quietly Have a longer life span Are less costly

Roller Bearing Because of the line contact, they can take greater loads.

Types of roller bearings Cylindrical Tapered Spherical

Taper Roller Bearing

Based on the thrust and load forces. Bearing are used to reduce friction.

Type of taper roller bearingTwo types:-

Single row tapered roller bearing

Double row tapered roller bearing

Single row taper roller bearing

The most basic and widely used tapered bearing. The single-row type consists of the cone assembly and cup. Single-row tapered roller bearings have positive roller alignment. It is usually fitted as one of an opposing pair.

Double row taper roller bearing Double-row tapered roller bearings feature double cups and two single cones.

They are available in a variety of configurations for general industrial and automotive applications.

Equivalent Radial LoadBearings are usually operated with some combination of radial and thrust load.
