A Message from Our

Awesome Founder

About RAHE-Ghana Reproductive Advocate Health Education-Ghana (RAHE - GHANA) is an independent, non-profit, development organization devoted to improving the quality of reproductive health services, general conditions of vulnerable people and communities through a right based approach. Since February 2014, RAHE-GHANA has been championing social intervention programs aimed at tackling vulnerability to diseases, hunger, and violence against women and children.

The organization firmly trust that easy access to education and healthcare is a human right for every child. RAHE-GHANA seeks to help local children break away from their present impoverished environment,

freeing them from child abuse by offering them holistic quality education and supporting them in achieving a fulfilling career that provide a good standard of living. VISION Our vision is to create a society in which citizens are empowered to equitably access the whole spectrum of quality social services and national resources. MISSION • To actively work with communities to identify community context challenges and adopt cost effective ways of addressing them • To improve the capacity of target communities and schools to understand and demand responsive health services from governmental stakeholders

RAHE-GHANA partners with a number of schools,

medical centers, volunteers and sponsors to

address the key challenges: poverty, child labour

being prioritized by families over education,

and insufficient access to healthcare education,

screening and medication.

“We are forever grateful to our

Child Sponsors, together we can all inspire the underprivileged and orphaned children in Ghana for a better tomorrow.

In designing this project, I am fully convinced

that Ghanaian children will not only have access

to health care and quality education, but a safe

and secured environment where they can fully

achieve their dreams and aspirations. This

project has enabled me to create a congenial

community where children can freely exercise

their rights to play, learn, have fun and above all

grow in all aspects of social development.

Through this program the children are reminded

of the need to support each other and become

responsible adults in the future.

By dint of our child centered initiatives at RAHE

GHANA, we are able to highlight the plights of

vulnerable children including the girl child in

Ghana. These challenges include lack of

education, lack of access to quality health care,

child labour, trafficking and thus mobilize

stakeholders to directly intervene.

Thanks to our generous child sponsors, these

vulnerable children have hopes. We are indeed

grateful to them. RAHE GHANA strongly believes

that together we can inspire the underprivileged

and the orphaned in Ghana.

This brochure material offer useful information

about the nature of this project and how the

child sponsorship program works.

A million thanks to you, for deciding to be a

child sponsor, that’s simply an amazing way of

making a difference in a child’s life.

Project Justification...

Sadly enough, there are several orphans and vulnerable children in Ghana. Where as many are found on

the streets, some are forced into child labour and seriously battling with sickness. These are just a few

of the challenges faced by Ghanaian children:

Our Intervention

Improvement It is our sincere wish for you to join RAHE

It is our sincere wish for you to join RAHEGHANA and support us to reach many children in order

to realise our vision. We are very proud and appreciate the impact we have made on the journey

so far. Nonetheless, we are still relentless and wants to begin a new phase in our scheme of

programs with lots of interesting activities on board.

The sponsorship goal at RAHE GHANA is to sponsor 12,000 children through primary and

secondary education by the year 2025. In demonstrating our unflinching commitment to this

noble cause, we secured a grant of 5,775 euros from the Nederlands Albert Schwitzer Funds to

secure the health needs of these vulnerable children, we have also secured 5 plots of land to build

foster homes and volunteer house as an institutional measure to reduce project overhead cost

and to attract more volunteers abroad. Presently, RAHE GHANA is in constant engagements with

the elders of the Ofaakor Traditional Council to acquire 1 acre of land at Jei River, Kasoa to

construct 12 classroom unit blocks that will house 425 children annually. This will be the initial

cluster schools to be financed and constructed by RAHE GHANA before embarking on similar

projects in other regions across Ghana.

Success Stories

Mavis’ Sponsor Experience

“Its a source of joy to have the privilege to sponsor little Yaw Karikari, affording him the chance

to attend school and have access to health services. Thanks to the wonderful feedback from

RAHE GHANA and the amazing volunteers, I am always informed about where my contribution

are used for what they are meant for. It was awesome to learn of Eric and his future dreams

upon my visit to Ghana last summer. The sight of these wonderful kids in the school was very

touching, knowing very well that my contribution is really changing lives”.

Mavis Nyarkoa, Cincinnati, Ohio

Here is Juliet , a project beneficiary

“Hello my name is Juliet Bonney Mensa, I am thirteen years old and I am in JHS 2. The subject I

like in school are English and Social Studies. My daddy passed way when I was 5 years old. I am

the seventh born of my parent. My mother couldn’t take me to school because of the large family

size. I am grateful to RAHE GHANA for their care and educational support, I can now work to

achieve my dream of becoming a nurse”.

Your Interventional Support

The world is full of possibilities especially for our young children. Children are the future leaders

of any society, the new crop of diplomats, architects, educationists, nurses, technicians,

journalists, parliamentarians and professionals who will be tasked to work on the nation’s destiny.

Therefore lets rally together with our resources to show them the way, here is how we can help.

In addition to providing quality and holistic education we provide a secured, supportive as well as

congenial environment with comprehensive healthcare.

We at RAHE GHANA offer the children the hope and support systems to fulfil their own dreams

and career goals. The child becomes part of the RAHE GHANA family connecting to love, care and

unconditional support and services. A sponsorship package of 468USD provides comprehensive

education and health package for 1 calendar year for a SINGLE child. Each sponsorship package
