Page 6: RADIANT HEATING SYSTEMS ECOFILM an electric heating foil

The floor surface must be level and clean.

Cut a channel in the concrete for the floor probe. It should lead to where the thermostat is to be placed.

Put the floor probe into the channel and run the connection wire to the wall. Secure the probe with tape.

Concrete sub floor

Page 7: RADIANT HEATING SYSTEMS ECOFILM an electric heating foil

Lay hardboard on top of the floor boards to achieve a smooth, clean level surface. Put the floor probe into the

channel and run the connection wire to the wall. Secure the probe with tape.

Cut a groove in the board for the floor probe.

Timber sub floor

Page 8: RADIANT HEATING SYSTEMS ECOFILM an electric heating foil

Use Depron to insulate the floor. Secure the Depron using 2” tape.

Cut a hole in the Depron where the floor probe is to be positioned.

Page 9: RADIANT HEATING SYSTEMS ECOFILM an electric heating foil

The ECOFILM F can now be rolled out across the floor covering the area that is to be heated.

Remember not to place the element under fixed objects in the room.

The Flexel element is joined up in parallel leading to the point where the thermostat is to be placed.

Install the thermostat making connections from the element and the floor probe.

Page 10: RADIANT HEATING SYSTEMS ECOFILM an electric heating foil

A polythene sheet is laid over the top of the element. This can be replaced by the manufacturers recommended material if required for warranty.

The laminate floor is laid on top of the polythene.

ECOFILM Set An electric heating foil - DIY product

- an effective system for laminate and wooden floor warming and heating.

- The set contens:

•Strip of heating foil Ecofilm of 600-mm total width (heating active width getting 550 mm), of the 60W/m2 or 80W/m2 surface input, supplied in rolls of different lengths as the customer requires and in accordance with the laying plan.

•Couple of additional insulating discs (using in case of heating foil length cutting and need copper electrode strips insulation)

•Instruction manual

Page 31: RADIANT HEATING SYSTEMS ECOFILM an electric heating foil

ECOFILM Set INSTALLATION STEPS

•The ECOFILM Set is installed directly under the laminate (floating) or timber floors in the same way as the standard ECOFILM F606 or F608 foils offered since many years. The floor structure is recommended as follows:

1 - laminate floating floor

2 - PE film 3 - ECOFILM F heating film

4 – INSULATION (Depron, Saarpor-Polyplan)

5 - baase concrete

ECOFILM Set INSTALLATION STEPS

1. The connection of the ECOFILM Set with connecting leads prepared in advance is just the great advantage because the installer or even the user by himself may very easily. Just the final electrical measuring and connection (interconnection of all connecting leads in the installation box and thermostat connection) shall be entrusted to a professional possessing the necessary qualification

ECOFILM advantages vs metal foilECOFILM METAL FOIL

- suits to ceiling construction (width of 40, 50 and 60 cm)

- simply cut to length according to requested dimensions

- easy electric connection (in parallel for direct return to the

room thermostat position)

- if Ecofilm will be damaged it can be simply repaired

- limited modular sizes (making stocking difficult and transport

difficults)

- individual termination into separate termination boxes

- in case of damage metal foil rerequires complete replacement
