Racial Injustice

The constant injustice race receives because of racial prejudice. The human race needs to understand the

human condition as it is put through difficult environments. When one views this, their perspective

will change.

“They took from my home; my wounds will not heal”-Unknown. His master beats him, when he

has done no wrong. This is the beginning of racial injustice in America in the 1700’s.

Many freed black slaves were forced back into slavery for further production in the United State’s war of 1812 needs. Many lost their

lives as they worked on ships or in warehouses. Producing everything the U.S needed.

Entering the midst of the civil war, the drafting of blacks was such a contraversial idea. That mobs formed and destroyed a black asylum.

Page 5: Racial Injustice

Black soldiers were in the front lines of every brigade. Most lost their lives, but in the end, they came across an award worth so much more. It was freedom, but there victory was short as certain white men had

even more of a reason to hate.

“I believe that it is better to tell the truth than a lie. I believe it is better to be free than to be a

slave. And I believe it is better to know than to be ignorant.” -Henry Louis Mencken The story behind the picture is, that a group of whites attacked some blacks. They

retaliated and were given death sentences.

Soon hate groups formed in order to suppress the blacks. They caused much havoc and gave fear to the black community. The court system

also opposed the black community, by making many cases unfair.

Civil Rights

Jim Crowe laws were set for the blacks in order to separate them from the white community. Blacks were usually given the lower end of the stick. Many suffered and very little of them prospered.

“Injustice boils in men's hearts as does steel in its cauldron, ready to pour forth, white hot, in the fullness of time

”-Mother Jones

Time passesAs I ventured father into the project I realized that change is needed. I learned much about our nations history and this may effect my future thoughts about the subject of racial injustice. Our nation has come far from our inspirational yet dark past. I believe there are many walls left to break and many wounds that need to heal. Maybe the human race will come together and prosper as one.
