Purpose

Try to not use more than

3 hashtags in each Tweet.

Purpose

When you reply to a Tweet, or start a Tweet with a handle (@) symbol, it is only viewable to your followers and to the followers of the person to whom you are replying. (Unless you go directly to the person’s Twitter Page.)

The dot

If you want all of your followers to see your tweet, don’t begin your tweet with a handle (@). Add a dot or any other character.

Directmesage

PurposePrivately send and receive messages that are only seen by you and one other person.

Note

● You now don’t have to be following one another to send and/or receive a DM.

● You now get more than 140 characters● Never open a suspicious link in a DM or else you may get

If you RT (ReTweet) and modify the original Tweet:

Change the RT to MT (Modified Tweet)

Old School Retweeting Note

You may want to modify the original Tweet to:

● Shorten the tweet so you can add more to the tweet

● Add additional hashtags

New School Retweet: Quote Tweet

● 116 character allotment ● Add the applicable twitter handles & hashtags

Random Note: If you quote a tweet and the original tweet is deleted, the quote tweet is not deleted.

Purpose

When you create and view a list, you will see a stream of Tweets from a group of Twitter users on that list.
