1. Standard Execution

CNC Plasmacuttingmachine Kompakt 3015 = 5’ x 10’

1. General description

The HACO KOMPAKT has a sturdy welded monobloc frame structure, with integrated fume exhaust chambers and bolted-on cutting table.

Mounted on the sides of this stable structure, the linear guide-ways guarantee a very precise movement (along the length of the machine) of the gantry, which is driven by 2 X-axis motors with rack-and-pinion transmission.

On the gantry, the Plasma Cutting Head (High-Definition Plasma Torch) is driven by 1 Y-axis motor with rack-and-pinion transmission and oversized linear guides.

The height movement of the torch is driven by a DC motor and ball screw. This axis is automatically controlled by the plasma arc voltage during the cutting process. The KOMPAKT is delivered with a Hypertherm Plasma unit, which is specifically designed to be

mounted on X-Y cutting tables. It consists of a DC power supply, a gas console, the RHF console, the torch and all the cable and hose connections. The DC power supply and gas console of the Hypertherm plasma system, is put next to the machine, whereas the RHF console is mounted on the machine frame. The precision controlled gantry carrying the torch guarantees precision cutting of sheet metal parts.

2. Axes Movements

*The X-axis is defined along the length of the machine. This axis is driven by two brushless AC Servo Motors, with a rack-and-pinion system and a linear guide on each side of the machine. The correct positioning is assured by high-resolution encoders, directly mounted on the motors. The synchronised system of two motors assures perfect parallel movement of the gantry over the linear guides.

*The Y-axis is defined along the width of the machine and is integrated in a rigid mechanical structure called the ‘gantry’. The X-axis is also driven by a brushless AC Servo Motor, with a rack-and-pinion system between 2 linear guides. The correct positioning is also assured by a high-resolution encoder on the motor. *The Height-axis corresponds to the vertical movement of the cutting head. It is guided on two

linear guides with bearings, and driven with a DC Motor. During the cutting process, this fully numerical axis is controlled through the Arc Voltage of the Plasma beam and keeps the nozzle at a constant distance from the sheet surface.

3. Fume extraction chambers

During the cutting process certain fumes are released, which must be extracted. The base of the

machine frame is divided in chambers for selective extraction of these fumes.

Opening and closing the selecting valves is fully CNC controlled in relation to the position of the cutting head, thus guaranteeing an efficient extraction.

4. Cutting Table

The KOMPAKT has a large integrated cutting table, consisting of curved steel fins to support the material to be cut. The gantry of the machine can be positioned at the back of the machine, as to keep the entire cutting table clear to facilitate safe and easy loading of the maximum sheet size, and unloading of the finished parts. This also allows a wide range of sheet loading/unloading systems to be adapted, even in combination with a sheet storage tower.

5. Machine safety

Our machines are all built according the CE regulations. A CE-Certificate is provided to the purchaser upon delivery of the machine. An optical safety device is delivered as standard, covering 3 sides of the machine (4th side should be covered by a wall or fence).

Manual Gas console

Provides an intuitive and easy to use operator interface for the system. Operator manually select gas type and set gas flows and cutting current. Automatically adjust for variations in incoming gas pressure to produce consistent cutting performance.

Automatic Gas console

Controls all of the plasma system settings from the HACO CNC

When coupled with the intuitive HACO CNC interface it reduces the time it takes to train new operators and set up new jobs. Automatically change processes on the fly to enable rapid switching between cutting and marking. Automatically adjust for variations in incoming gas pressure to provide the most consistent cutting performance. The auto gas console is required to enable True Hole Technology . Note that True Hole software

option is required to enable True Hole cutting quality.

Gas specifications for HPR 130/260 Xd/400 Xd :

All gases must be pure, dry and free of any oil. For the air requirement, compressed air from a compressor is not recommended.

We can offer a special unit with filtering and boosting capacities.

5. Important remarks

Connection between machine and filter unit is not included in the standard machine.

1. Cutting of stainless steel produces fumes that may be harmful for the

health when inhaled. Therefore we advise to put the Fume Extraction

and Filtering Unit in a separate room, or even outside (more price for

outdoors installation). Another solution would be to blow the filtered

air outside the building.

2. When cutting aluminum, the dust that is collected in the collector bin

of the fume extraction unit can be highly explosive (check with local

ATEX guide lines). It is therefore recommended to put a second unit

for aluminum.

6. General Conditions

3. Payment Conditions

All prices are in US Dollars and F.O.B. Houston, TX our Warehouse

Payment : 20% with order-70% before shipment from the Factory and 10% with

installation. Different payment conditions are negotiable.

4. MACHINE WARRANTY

The Kompakt CNC Plasma Cutting machine has a warranty of 1 year on spare parts from

the date of loading in HACO-Atlantic, Inc. Houston, TX.

The machine warranty does not include consumable parts (electrodes, nozzles, etc. …),

table fins, filter cloths and cartridges, the entire cutting head, ...

The warranty period expires 6 months after invoice date if the machine cannot be

installed due to reasons beyond the control of HACO-Atlantic, Inc.

Any additional liability e.g. for direct or indirect damage is excluded from the warranty.

5. PLASMA INSTALLATION

The machine has to be unloaded at the final machine position. The customer should

arrange the internal transport If the truck can’t be unloaded inside the factory. The

company should provide all necessary equipment such as fork lift , overhead crane with

operator . This service must be free of charge and available during the whole installation

period and should not be a reason for installation delays.

The technicians should be able to start working immediately by arrival at the company.

All preparations such as making holes in the walls for pipes , door opening modifications

or other construction works not related to normal installation has to be done by the

customer .

The mounting surface should be clean, flat and in strong reinforced concrete with

minimum thickness of 20 cm=8”, height deviation should be less then ¾”. All surface

channels for air hoses , electricity cables… should be done by the customer .

All preparations for electricity connection, compressed air , cutting gas, has to be provide

by the company till the final connection points . Layout of pipes and cables is analyzed

by HACO-Atlantic.

It is necessary to prepare a separate grounding which is confirm with the law . All

grounding cables to this extra grounding should have a section of min 35mm2. The

grounding rods should be as close as possible to the cutting table .The grounding

resistance should be not more than 2 Ohm. The customer should prove that this

grounding is confirm to this specifications , the customer is responsible for the effects

caused by bad grounding .
