Since we are streamlining our services, you may also receive information in January regarding a change in the service center assisting you. Bill of Lading and PRO Labels FedEx Freight Customer Service Phone: 1.866.393.4585 Email: [email protected] Beginning Jan. 31, 2011, we’ll reduce your paperwork with one Bill of Lading to prepare shipments for FedEx Freight. On the Bill of Lading and PRO label, you will simply choose which shipping service you want: • FedEx Freight ® Priority when speed is critical to meet your supply chain needs. • FedEx Freight ® Economy for less time-sensitive shipping to meet your budget. One PRO number format will help to reduce the number of tracking labels you have to manage. In January, your driver will help you obtain new PRO numbers and stickers for use beginning Jan. 31, 2011. Beginning Jan. 31, 2011, if you use your own Bills of Lading, you should write in which service you want to use, FedEx Freight Priority or FedEx Freight Economy (just like you write in FedEx Freight or FedEx National LTL today). Better yet, simply use the convenient online Bill of Lading form at fedex.com. Pricing Contact your account executive if you have an existing pricing plan. To establish a pricing plan, call FedEx Freight Customer Service at 1.866.393.4585 You can enjoy simplified shipping with no changes to your current pricing agreement. So, if you have a current pricing agreement with FedEx Freight, your pricing agreement will apply to the new FedEx Freight Priority service. Beginning Jan. 31, 2011, the Standard Carrier Alpha Code (SCAC) for all FedEx Freight® shipments will be FXFE.

Some account numbers will retire. In December, you will receive detailed information on which account numbers will be retired and which account numbers you should begin using for all of your LTL (less-than-truckload) shipments. These simplified account numbers will go into effect onJan. 31, 2011.

To improve billing accuracy, you will be asked to provide your account number when scheduling a pickup by phone or online.

There will be no changes to the EDI data prior to Jan. 31, 2011, for most

customers. Some customers currently shipping with FedEx National LTL® and using the X12 210 transaction set who have not transitioned toFXFE X12 210 specifications will be contacted by the FedEx Freight EDI team in October 2010, to discuss conversion to FXFE EDI specifications.

Those customers using the remaining EDI transaction data sets will have the flexibility to complete the data updates with our specialists bySept. 30, 2011.

Customers using our FedEx Customer Tools software will receive a prompt to accept an automated system update on Jan. 31, 2011. If for some reason you need to perform a new installation, you can easily download it on Jan. 31, 2011, at fedex.com/fxct.

Whether you use our public website or our secure, password-protected My Account site, you’ll benefit from a streamlined experience — fewer clicks to get rates, transit times, request a pickup and more.

• Reporting for your retired account number(s) will still be available to you. Historical information will be available for six months following Jan. 31, 2011.

• Information for claims filed on the retired account numbers will continue to reference those account numbers until resolved.

• If you use our online tools, you will be able to view reports of your shipments billed to the retired account number(s) for up to six months. However, you will not be able to select the retired account number(s) when conducting online activities such as generating a Bill of Lading, scheduling a pickup, requesting shipment notifications, getting rates or reviewing invoices. You will select the FXFE account number to perform those activities.
