– Alcohol, tobacco, etc. – POS will interrupt the flow of items until the exception is cleared– The data flow will continue wen the POS finished the data processing

Automated handling of information collection at the POS– Customer survey or any other data capturing can be related to the item– POS will interrupt the flow of items until the needed data is captured– The data flow will continue when the POS has finished the data capture

Integration of Checkout scales– e.g. Items scanned with Scanner-Scale and added to customer’s basket at the POS

Electronic Article Surveillance– Deactivate all items with integrated EAS deactivation at the POS/checkout scanner

Not existing items– In case that some items are not existing in the Item database, the POS will interrupt the

flow of the items – After solving the situation at the POS, the data flow will continue
