Address errors occur in a variety of ways. A personmay accidentally miskey an address or forget essentialaddress components, like the apartment number. QAS Pro, developed by Experian QAS, validates andstandardizes addresses immediately during data capture.

The tool works through database interfaces, Intranets,and Extranets. In each deployment, the QAS TypedownEngine invokes to guide users through the address entryprocess. Users start by entering the ZIP CodeTM whichimmediately refines address search results and helps theuser reach a complete address with fewer keystrokes.

With each character entered, QASPro refines search results untila complete, standardized, and

deliverable address is captured.If a user miskeys or omits an addresselement, QAS Pro indicates theissue, allowing the discrepancy toimmediately be resolved, beforethe address is committed into thedatabase.
