Our Macro-DAF series is available in two distinct types. The HR (High Rate) series provides for high flow rates in a small footprint using inclined plate pack technology. The HS (High Solids) series is an open design, which provides increased surface area and higher recirculation rates needed for high to very high solids separation.

Our new and innovative Micro-DAF series is the first to address the need for high quality, exceptionally low cost solutions for the treatment of small flows. The Micro-DAF combines DAF and Plug Flow Flocculator technologies in one piece of equipment to save you even more.

P-TEC offers innovative and cost effective water and wastewater treatment solutions for many industrial and commercial applications. Some of the equipment and systems we design, manufacture and supply are outlined below. ► MicroDAF™

The P-TEC MicroDAF is an innovative dissolved air flotation (DAF) system for use in a variety of applications with relatively low hydraulic flowrates (typically 100 GPM or less). The system can be used with air only for simple oil and grease removal, or combined with chemicals for greater removal rates of other parameters. The MicroDAF with built-in Flocculator and chemical addition is used in the reduction BOD, COD, TSS, FOG, TKN, phosphorous and various metals in wastewater. They are also effectively used for reduction in bio-solids and algae removal.

► MacroDAF™

The P-TEC MacroDAF offers high efficiency DAF technology in the form of the HR series and HS series systems. The HR (High Rate) series is an inclined plate pack based system that has the capability of treating very high flowrates while minimizing the floor space required. The HS (High Solids) series is a rectangular open tank based system that has the capability of treating flowrates with very high solids loading rates. Both systems can be used with a Flocculator for reduction in BOD, COD, TSS, FOG, TKN, phosphorous and various metals in wastewater. They are also effectively used for reduction in bio-solids and algae removal. Any flowrate above 100 GPM can be addressed with MacroDAF type systems.

► Pre-Treatment Systems

P-TEC often combines the properly selected DAF into a system that includes some or all of the following components to complete a total pre-treatment system: - Screening (static, internally fed rotary drum or externally fed rotary drum) - Flow Equalization Tanks (aerated and/or mixed) - pH control equipment - Wastewater transfer pumps - Chemical storage and metering equipment - Polymer make-down systems - DAF sludge collection/decant tanks - Sludge transfer pumps and dewatering equipment - Automated electrical control panels

The HS MacroDAF is an open style, rectangular Dissolved Air Flotation (DAF) system that incorporates proven fundamental concepts in liquid/solids separation. The HS series utilizes a large free surface area for flotation in high solids loading applications. Floating solids are concentrated in a full surface area skimmer system with a static dewatering grid. Settled solids are collected in inverted pyramid type cones for automatic or manual discharge by gravity flushing. The system features all stainless steel construction and is equipped with high pressure recirculation (air dissolving) pumps that are mounted and pre-piped on the unit. System operation can be either manual or automatic using an automated control panel that integrates with pneumatic controls and other equipment as necessary.

HS MacroDAFs are used in a variety of different industries as pre-treatment systems, with or without chemical treatment, as well as, biological clarifiers and algae removal systems.

PF FlocculatorCAPACITIES FROM 20 GPM TO 3000 GPM

● PVC or Stainless Steel Construction.

● Both coagulation and flocculation in one piece of equipment.

● Requires much less space than conventional reaction tanks.

● Energy efficient; No additional energy inputs required (mixers).

● Little or no maintenance; No moving parts.

The P-TEC PF Flocculator is a Plug Flow Type Pipe Flocculation Reactor includes mixing zones for both coagulation and flocculation required for chemical treatment of most wastewater. The term "plug flow" refers to the fact that retention time and/or mixing energy is constant in any given cross section of the pipe. As such, all particles are subjected to the same amount of mixing energy for the same amount of time. This results in a highly uniform floc with excellent separation characteristics. The PF Flocculator allows for the addition of a portion of the DAF recycle flow containing dissolved air to be introduced into the last stage of the process. This enhances the floc’s buoyancy by incorporating micro bubbles inside the floc’s as they are forming, which makes separation inside the DAF more efficient.

P-TEC flocculators are constructed of either PVC or stainless steel pipe with a stainless steel frame.

P-TEC’s flocculators are delivered standard with fittings for chemical dosing, sampling, and whitewater injection. Additional fittings may be included for other equipment such as a pH sensor.
