“Wahe Guru ji ka Khalsa, Wahe Guru ji ki Fateh

As Guru Nanak spoke,

So dar keha so gar keha.

The message of Guru Nanak is that God is Infinite. He cannot be measured, cannot be found and cannot be assessed. We should not waste our time with these kinds of thoughts, we should just love God. Then we will be happy every moment of our lives. If we understand God as Infinity, we can accept our own infinity, and thus smallness will not exist. We are finite, and our polarity is the opposite, the Infinite. We exist between our finite and Infinity.

Actually speaking, poverty and prosperity are the balances. Every person feels like, ”God, I give.“ The fact is that nobody gives. God gives through the medium. Whoever the medium is, God gives through him or her. Two people don’t love, God is using

By truth you produce happiness, by truth you produce prosperity, by truth you

produce opportunity, by truth you have everything you need.

May your spirit protect you, may your spirit prevail, may your spirit project you into your hemisphere of prosperity, power, grace, and dignity. May you live and let all there is live.

May you be humble and flow through all, into the most subtle corners of life, and enjoy the totality of Infinity. May this day bring peace,

prosperity, and grace. Sat Nam

Personal dignity, prosperity and identity make the only shield of God a human has. If your dignity is established it means you are stable, it certifies stability; then you can be

trusted, you will be loved and talked to and your words will mean everything.

Prosperity message for the Aquarian Age:Prosperity, prosperity, prosperity is

perpetual with people who prefer to be penetrating, prepared and trustworthy.

But prosperity only comes to those who are trustworthy, deliver, and are content and consistent. Basically it boils down

to commitment. If you put your soul into anything you can plug the whole world.

It will be yours. You can sweep prosperity with your commitment. Contain, commit

and be continuous.

them as a medium to love. The more you feel, the more you are grateful, the more expanded you feel, the more powerful you feel, that is the beauty of love. We are walking on a path, and this is a path of prosperity, love, and affection.

That is the Age of Aquarius: we have to cross from the Piscean Age, smiling, laughing, enjoying, and being grateful to God. “Lord, thank you. With your kindness and your special care you gave us the opportunity to walk on a path of the complete human being and absolutely in love with Thee.” That is the way to live.

TranquilitySynopsis, Yogi Bhajan Class Lecture 10/30/00

Teachings of Yogi Bhajan, © 2000 Yogi Bhajan. Used with kind permission from Yoga Gems (A Year With the Master) Synopses from the teachings of Yogi Bhajan, © 2001 Yoga Gems. Contact: [email protected] *Har Har Har Har Gobinday - www.a-healing.com

Tranquility is the essence of life. Prosperity, relationships and strength grow from tranquility. Tranquility is God. By being aggressive and living in imagination, fear and insecurity, we lose tranquility.

Some days ago I called a friend to wish him happy Diwali (Hindu Festival of Lights). He was miserable, saying his relatives

were torturing him. I said, “Their karma is to disturb your life. Your karma is to keep going.” If I had not had a treacherous and torturous life, I never would have become a confirmed yogi. A confirmed yogi in my own mind—I have to satisfy me, see me with me, let my ego go, and keep my tranquility.

When things attack you from the outside, you think you are worthless. But you are full of worth! Otherwise there is no reason for you to be tested. No one takes a graduation examination if they have not been to college. Your life has the karma of many incarnations. Pay your karma and follow dharma (spiritual path). Every breath of life is more precious than all preciousness. Every hardship gives you endurance. “Whatever You do, my Lord, is my pleasure.” As you see road signs, there are signs in the life which you must know. Read them and obey. Pay karma and walk the path of dharma with determination in your hand, in your heart and in your head, while maintaining tranquility. If you see something bad, be grateful you will not walk into it. If you see something very good, enjoy it as a lesson and role model.

There was a devotee of Krishna named Sada who used to worship Him. When her last moment came, Krishna was there, massaging her feet and comforting her. She said, “Oh blessed man, your hands are very divine, but I wanted to see Krishna. Please tell him I died wanting to see him.” Our fears make us chant and meditate so we can produce God but, without tranquility, we cannot recognize Him.

We need maturity, tranquility, peace, and grace to

see that we are as good in soul and consciousness as everyone else. Are we mature enough to bring respect and grace to our relationships? Can our love be infinite? Can we cut through our boundaries? With Guru’s blessing we were given a human body and sent to this garden to smell the fragrance, have fun and enjoy. But we started destroying the garden and building a wall, saying, “This part of the garden is mine.”

You can do anything and everything, but if you do not have tranquility, you cannot merge in God’s infinite tranquility. If your value is not your tranquility, but your ego, you cannot be. Without tranquility there is no reality. Without reality there is no prosperity. Without prosperity you cannot give. Without giving you are not God. Guru Nanak says, “Work hard, earn by the sweat of your brow, then give.”

MEDITATIONBreak the Cocoon of Ego

Position: Sit straight in a cross-legged position. Hold your hands in Sarab Gyan Mudra in front of the heart — fingers interlocked with the index fingers extended pointing up and thumbs crossed. Eyes are closed. Mantra: Chant from the navel with Har Har Har Har Gobinday by Nirinjan Kaur*. Continue for 3 minutes. To end, inhale deeply, hold, and listen to the mantra you have chanted. The sound is still in the air; catch it. Exhale. Repeat 2 more times. Relax.Comments: If you chant this 8 part mantra for 11 minutes, 31 minutes or 2-1/2 hours, and then recollect the sound, whenever you are working, talking, moving, sitting, or sleeping, this sound will be with you. It will not leave you because each word of the mantra opens up a chakra and feeds the soul, giving the feeling of deathlessness. This meditation breaks through the cocoon of our ego and cuts through the organism of destruction.

When it comes to the theme of prosperity, at the Dasvandh Office we are continuously blessed to share the Siri Singh Sahib’s (Yogi Bhajan) teachings on it: trust, gratitude, faith, patience. Dasvandh is inadvertently all about prosperity. The teachings are about giving back and allowing the Universe to fill you back up – ten times more than you have given. Though this is not the incentive for giving, it is the unintentional result of trusting, letting go, and allowing.

The trick, it seems, is to come to the space of resting in this process, a place of trust, faith and patience, a state of continual gratitude.

The Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) says: “What is meditation? When you empty yourself and let the Universe come in you.” Often this place is only possible if we ensure - in our incredibly busy lives - that there is time for Sadhana (spiritual discipline). Prosperity comes to us when we empty ourselves and let the Universe come in to fill the tank, so to speak.

This month, instead of action, I invite you to try relaxation for prosperity!! Empty yourself and simply allow prosperity to come to you. There is a wonderful tape you can order* called Patience Pays. Along with meditative background music, the Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) speaks about allowing the hand of God to work for you. Try it – it is superb! A graceful reminder to always dwell in God, to be patient and to allow the Universe to take care of us. Currently we have this CD playing on the Dasvandh Prosperity Altar 24/7.

Relaxation for Prosperity

PATIENCE PAYS“Patience pays. Wait. Let the hand of God work for you. The One who has created you,

let Him create all the environments, circumstances, and facilities & faculties.

Oh individual, why are you in a very doubtful state? The One who has made you will take care of you. The One who has created this universe, all the planets, planetary

faculties and facilities on Earth, He is the One who has created you. Wait, have patience, lean on Him, and all best things will come to you.

Dwell in God. Dwell in God. Dwell in God. Befriend your soul. Dwell in God and befriend your soul. Dwell in God and befriend your soul. All the faculties and facilities

of the Creation, which are in your best interest, shall be at your feet. You need a million things; a million things will reach you, if you are stable, established, firm, patient. Remember, the Creator watches over you and

Creation is ready to serve you, if you just…be you.

So please take away the ghosts of your life and stop chasing them around. Consolidate. Concentrate. Be you. May all the peace & peaceful environments, and prosperity approach you forever. Sat Nam.”

Dear IKYTA Members and Friends,

Things have been hopping at our IKTYA offices since we moved to our new location early this spring. The KRI Trainers Forum and IKYTA Teachers Conference in June were both very well received, and attendance was almost double that of previ-ous years at both events. The long awaited and revised teacher’s manual, The Aquarian Teacher, and the new teacher’s curriculum, The Self-Sensory Human were both introduced. To order, contact [email protected]. Hari Charn Kaur, KRI Teacher Training Program Director, hosted the first KRI Trainers Forum at the European Yoga Festival.

On the home front, we are busy with contracts for next Teacher Training cycle. And, as we do every summer, we are preparing for the Annual IKYTA Membership Campaign. Remember, Professional Membership is for KRI Certified Kundalini Yoga teachers, but Associate Membership is open to all students and teachers of Kundalini Yoga. We are looking into new membership benefits and are continuing to develop our Yoga CEU program to better serve our members.

For those of you who recently answered our survey, thank you for the great feedback. We love to hear from you, and appreciate your participation in our endless growth.

Every year should be a

year of progress. It is particularly true that

a teacher has to grow in proportion to the times by performing better than the year before. In this way, as a teacher, you can establish your domain until you become full of the light of purity, clarity, and understanding, so that every student will respect you. It is that inner respect which comes to you through time and space. God has given you virtue so that you are a teacher. Teach morality and methodology and build the character of a student in order that he/she will be grateful to you for this life and for life tomorrow and thereafter. This is my blessing. I hope this simple message will make you think deeply in your heart. You’ll be the best. Yogi Bhajan - Moments

with the Master - July 2003*

*Moments with the Master is a monthly message direct from Yogi Bhajan to IKYTA members, which can be read and heard online at www.kundaliniyoga.com, in the Members Only section. This membership benefit was introduced in 2003.

All gifts come from God, all gifts go to God. If you cannot see God in all, you cannot see God at all.

Dasvandh is the giving of a tenth of one’s income. The key word is “giving”. Something that is given voluntarily, with no expectation, is a gift. The act of giving is an inherently joyful act. The Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) has taught us that in Sikhism, man is always gifted by God, and to be able to see God in all we should share these gifts of God.

To give voluntarily is to have no fear of the consequences. To give is to engage in the sharing of joy. One has no fear of deprivation, so there is a sense of joy in sharing. Fear takes away joy and happiness and is very diminishing.

How to get rid of fear? Develop a commitment to compassion, to be able to see God in all. It can take courage, and often in this American society, we have been taught to live our lives in a constant state of low to high level fear. This is not how we should be living. When one becomes fearful, one of the first things to leave is compassion, compassion for yourself and others.

When you make a conscious decision to develop compassion and you act on it with conviction, the world does become a

better place. When you open your heart to compassion, volunteering and service, that energy circulates! It acquires its own momentum, and more and more people begin to follow suit. When you give your money to the community, it too begins to circulate, for money, as a convenient tool of commerce, is meant to circulate. It is also a type of energy. Energy is meant to keep moving! As you develop more compassion, you will find that fear goes away, and a balanced discernment takes its place.

There has to be balance in our lives, and maintaining that balance can be difficult at times. Those times are when we can ask others for help. In asking others, we are asking God, and God is always giving! When we really see God in all, through compassion, volunteering, service and balanced living we will never lack for anything! The process starts with Dasvandh, and there are no limits!

AMAR INFINITY FOUNDATIONGuru Roop Kaur Khalsa

BUILDING YOUR PROSPERITY FOR THE FUTURETo ensure that the good work of Sikh Dharma and 3HO continues for generations to come, you may choose to make a planned gift to Amar Infinity Foundation. Planned gifts help Amar Infinity Foundation realize opportunities for Sikh Dharma and 3HO, while allowing donors to enjoy tremendous benefits:• Strategies for “sharing prosperity and wealth” with heirs • A reduction in taxes

Amar Infinity Foundation serves as the central coordinating agency for long term donations to Sikh Dharma, 3HO, or other institutions — with the goal of helping members and friends of the path meet the needs and ease the pain of people worldwide. Q. How can I participate in philanthropic giving if I am not wealthy? A. Outright gifts of money are the most common and direct way. Many people, even those of modest means, choose to share their blessings with affordable cash gifts. Q. If I don’t have much cash, can I still participate? A. Yes. You might consider this commonly used method: Outright Gifts of Securities and Real Estate. You can reduce your tax liability and build charitable work at the same time by giving the securities and real estate directly to an Amar Infinity Foundation sponsored institutions or program.

Q. My estate isn’t that large. Should I even do an estate plan, especially now?A. Absolutely. While you may think your estate or your parents estate is modest, the value of your house and retirement plans or life insurance you may have are all considered part of your estate.

Tax relief is not the only reason to plan, however. Protecting your family is the other. If you die without a will, the courts will take control of your estate and, in effect, write a will for you in accordance with your state’s intestacy laws. This means your property may not be distributed to your loved ones. Protecting your estate is one of the areas where there is really no question. It is critical to plan now.

Gift tools that needs to be implemented today

WillA will has often been described as a road map that gives direction in transferring an asset from one person to another and to charity. A carefully prepared will is the easiest way to ensure that your heirs are provided for in the way that you intend. It is also one of the simplest ways to make a gift while keeping all your assets available.

YEARENDAs the end of the year approaches, the giving pace picks up. With the hectic lives many of us lead, we may tend to put off our giving until “we have the time.” Then, before we know it, the calendar runs out and we are staring at December 31. We rush to complete a yearend gift.

In our haste, we can make serious mistakes, mistakes that may haunt us later in life. A planned gift, by definition, requires planning. Gifts of real estate, stock, or other non-cash assets should be made carefully and in consideration of overall estate plans.

So, if you expect to make a planned gift before the end of the year, allow plenty of time. Avoid the rush. Start now by calling the Amar Infinity Foundation office for assistance.

As stewards of our resources, it is always best to be prudent and plan our giving in a way that accomplishes the greatest good for all concerned. Impulse giving may be okay for pocket change, but not for major assets that comprise our estates.

We want your giving to be fully satisfying to you, both in what you give and how you give it. Thank you for supporting the Programs and Services of Sikh Dharma, 3HO, KRI, and Sikh Dharma Education International (SDEI) by gifting to Amar Infinity Foundation.

Yogi Bhajan said that he became a yogi to conquer God. He became such a powerful yogi that he thought he knew everything. He would play with the powers of the tattwas ( and the siddhis (supernatural powers) and he used them for his own mischevious purposes. One day he made a man’s water fall. The fellow was so humiliated that it really struck Yogi Bhajan. He said to himself, “What am I doing, am I so stupid?” He then decided that he needed to give himself to God but he was not quite sure how to do so. He went to Amritsar and began to do seva (selfless service) at the Golden Temple. He would wake up every morning at 2:00 and wash the marble floors. In the heat of the summers, in the numbing cold of the winters, he faithfully washed the floors every morning. Four and a half years of washing these floors put his ego in check. It took that long to clear up the Karma he had created. It gave him the mental clarity he was praying for. He said his concept of God became clear. “God is everywhere and God has sent us here.”

Now, we need to find our way back to God or we will get

lost. He realized that he, the Master of Kundalini Yoga and possessor of great powers, needed a guide.

He turned to Guru Ram Das, and this became his prayer:

“May you walk into the house of Guru Ram Das. May you understand, love, and feel Guru Ram

Das. May you trust Guru Ram Das. May you be with Guru Ram Das. May you understand in the thought, action, deed, form, projection, reality, non-reality, and divinity or infinity that you are nothing but a friend of Guru Ram Das, a student of Guru Ram Das. Belong. Don’t leave this planet angry and empty. You have come with Infinity, you should go with Infinity; That is the purpose of this life.”

Join us this year on a spiritual pilgrimage to India to experience the power of the Golden Temple, wash its floors, resonate in its sacred vibration and find your own connection with Guru Ram Das.

GOD Like Silence

GOD like silence seems to linger, seems to rush like blood to your head,Heavy, thick, beautiful.

When thoughts just sit And sit and wait for the procreation of action, fetus shaped words And adjectives that hang on your tongue like…like…Too much silence.

Only in these silences, cocooned shelled and warm do we sniff out theRose, honeysuckle and gardenia sweetness of our silent GOD.

Perfumed,Pungent, do we waft our silence through the chaos, through the clamor Of the loudest humanity,

While they hush, smell and follow the path That feels too right…….but oddly just is.

“Send your children to Khalsa Youth Camp. Give them the freedom to develop their self-esteem, confidence, and their own connection with their Guru. What greater act is there?”

-Siri Singh Sahib, 6/03

The many children, who were fortunate to come to Khalsa Youth Camp this summer, experienced three weeks of daily activities that supported their self-esteem, ability to overcome personal and group challenges, and above all develop a loving connection

with their Guru and selves. Whenever possible our devoted staff helped direct the children toward a creative exploration of life and toward opening up to their unique potential as human beings. In addition to our daily morning sadhana and uplifting daily activities, campers met every evening for a special eleven minute meditation (which they were asked to continue at home). Once again we had campers from all over the world and enthusiastic support from parents and friends who share Khalsa Youth Camp’s vision and mission.

Those of you who have come to Solstice or worked at KYC have probably experienced the guiding vibration that encompasses Ram Das Puri. We have had miraculous events on this land in the many years I’ve spent at KYC. I’d like to share an inspiring story that happened this summer.

I drove into camp one evening and realized that smoke from a forest fire in the Sangre Mountain range was blowing into the Espanola Valley. Fortunately most campers were on an overnight camping trip and were not affected by the smoke but we still had a small group of younger children on the site. We put them to sleep in an air conditioned cabin. Even though these little souls were safe and secure, I called the weather bureau to get updated information concerning this “inversion winds” situation and when it would change direction. I was told that the satellite showed “no change in wind direction in the surrounding area for at least twelve hours.” I did not want to accept this, so I began talking to Guru Ram Das, requesting that he do something about the smoke and then began chanting “Dhan Dhan Ram Das Gur.” Within a few minutes the wind at Ram Das Puri began to shift and blow from the west. Within twenty minutes the entire area was cleared of smoke. We all slept very peacefully that night, and our faith in the reality of Guru Ram Das was deepened.

Step FOUR:

The goal in the Law of Containment is financial inde-pendence and all the steps necessary to actually set that up. It is a law that basically says, if you build it, it will come. Remember the movie? “Build it, they will come.” This structure includes your bank accounts, savings accounts, retire-ment accounts, life insurance accounts, and all the things nec-essary to have a life of financial independence. Even without a lot of money, set up every single entity that you want and fund it with a small amount of money if that is all you have, but the important thing is to set it up.

Next is the Law of Attraction. The mind is a magnet. Just like building a house, the first thing you need is a set of blue-prints. You begin with the Law of Containment – setting up the structure and then the structure itself becomes the magnet. Your mind is what created this structure. The Law of Attraction is the simple fact that once you

build it, it will come, and it’s your mind that attracts your prosperity.

Next is the Law of Prayer and being clear about your intention. It is important that your intention is that all of your actions serve your mission.

Your mission is to obey the Will of God and the Will of God allows you to bring in whatever you need to accomplish that mission. You create the container, you start attracting things to the container, and you are clear that the reason for filling those containers is all about the fact that you live in the Grace of God.

This month, we invite you to explore these Prosperity Laws with your Prosperity PAL. Talk about how you are situated in regard to the Law of Containment. Research what you are attracting to your life. Understand what your prayer is. Discuss the concept of “mission” with each other. Understanding the Prosperity Laws is a deeply introspective part of the program and working through them with your Prosperity PAL can help you get to the roots and effect change in your life.

The most essential law of prosperity is that of tithing, giving 10% to Infinity. The Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan) says, “You gain when you give. There is no need to pray for yourself. Pray for others, and the Creator will pray for you.”

Children and young adults can be involved in giving to their own infinity just as much as adults by giving back to their community.

For example, many schools across the US hold food drives to stock local food banks. In other programs, children help out at retirement homes, even just by their presence. Many Sikh communities have Seva (selfless service)

programs anyone – even children – can participate in. Time spent helping others is time that gives back to your community and one’s self.

“Whatever goodness, kindness, compassion, and strength of prayer you

have, you must share. It is a labor without reward. Why? Because God shall give you a hundred thousand times more reward than anyone else can.” Siri Singh Sahib (Yogi Bhajan)

This is the practice of selfless service, also known as Karma Yoga. Kids can practice this

meditation anywhere, and it is a perfect opportunity for them to learn how to give.
