Key

This is the key we will use in the first scene in the restaurant when Zac asks Florence to move in with him. This will also be a similar shot that we will use, to make sure the audience know what he is giving Flo. The close up will enable to achieve this desired effect. We decided to use a key as it resembles moving in and confirms to the audience what the first scene will be about – and them potentially thinking the trailer will follow a typical romantic plot.

Mirror

This mirror will be used in the middle of the trailer, where Zac speaks to his reflection in the open for the first time. This is the shot we will also use as this will be perfect to get the reflection of Zac whilst still having his back to the camera, something that we really wanted to film whilst creating the trailer for our film, Vanity. We decided to use this shot and placing of the mirror as the scene shows Zac walking through the hallway and going back to talk to his reflection. This shot also represents the entire plot in one scene, which is something that we wanted to include in the trailer.

Knife

This is the type of knife that we will be using for the shot where Zac is looking in the knife at his reflection opposed to listening to Florence at the dinner table. The shot will resemble this closely, as we want a close up of the knife so you can just see George’s (who will play Zac) eyes to show he is looking at himself instead.
