PART I: Creating the Widget• Well before you can create the widget you

should register to www.rafflecopter.com first

• Go ahead and create your account, you will have to log back in to the website to create other giveaways and manage existing ones too!

• Now let’s start creating the widget!

• Click on the +NEWGIVEAWAY option on the menu bar on top

• As you can see I already started some so my screen shows me the old ones and the current running giveaway (you can always run multiple giveaways at any given time)

• Now you can fill out the form to complete the details of the giveaway.

• I will discuss each component later so hang tight.

• Let’s start with the top three options.• The top box gives you the option to copy

details from a promo that was finished already.• The second box let’s you name your giveaway

(this is for organizational purposes only and will not show on the widget)

• Third box is where you can put prizes they will get.

– You can put as many prizes that you want.– You can also define the quantity of each item

• On the “how people can enter box”, there are already predefined options that would let people earn an entry to the raffle (see options on the dropdown list)

• You will decide how many entries the “action” would merit for.

• Now let’s discuss each option one by one

– The Leave a Blog Post Comment option enables you to create a question that your respondents can answer, you can validate it on the moderator page

– The tweet a message option allows you to ask your fans to tweet about the promo. They will be asked to provide the URL of their tweet (detailed instructions here: http://www.rafflecopter.com/rafl/instructions-tweetlink/ )

– The follow a twitter user option, is pretty explanatory. You’ll be allowed to supply your twitter username in the field.

– The like a facebook page us pretty much the same as twitter the only difference is it’s your facebook URL that you will be supplying.

– The Choose your own option section allows you to add an “Action” of your own, which you can supply with your own validation method (such as asking fans to send you a screenshot or provide a URL for proof)

• Now all you have to do is to set the length of the promo (The time is always EST by the

way) • Add your TERMS and

CONDITIONS • And click on GET WIDGET

to get the embed script!

PART II Embedding the script• After clicking on the GET

WIDGET all you need to do is to copy it and paste it to where you want it to appear.

• You can use it on your custom FB landing page or on your blog/website.
