The company has become renowned for its innovative designs and well engineered trailers.
Krueger Group engineering manager Steve Hunt said the innovation in the company’s trailer design was driven by market forces.
“This is a very competitive industry and we need to maintain a competitive edge,” he said.
“Therefore it is important that we find the most innovative and cost-efficient solution to customer’s specific transport requirements.”
Underlying this industry-driven demand is Krueger’s continual goal of producing a better trailer.
“We are continually trying to produce a better trailer that increases productivity and is cheaper to maintain,” Hunt said.

modifying existing designs and standards to make them more efficient and reliable.”
There are Australian design rules for trailers and every Krueger trailer is built to these specifications.
“Our designs also have to comply with the different operating standards and regulations within the various states,” Hunt said.
“And every trailer design is subject to many hours of testing to perfect a new concept before it is offered to the transport industry.”
Krueger is committed to reducing the number of breakdowns while trailers are operational on Australia’s roads.

A NEW, POWERFUL GROUP IN AGRICULTURAL AND CONSTRUCTION MACHINERY DISTRIBUTION IN QUEENSLAND WAS CREATED ON 1 JULY 2006.
Three of Queensland’s most well-established machinery distributors – Black Kubota, Tracforce and Gillespie’s Tractors – merged to form Black-Trac.
The new company has become a premier distributor of some of the best-known brands in the agriculture and construction industry.
This merger makes Black-Trac the number one leading distributor for Kubota agricultural and New Holland agricultural and construction equipment.
The foundations for this major new dealership stem from the success of Black Kubota which was founded by Craig Black who also owns Black Toyota dealership. Craig owns six Black Toyota dealerships throughout west-Queensland and northern New South Wales.
Black Kubota was established in September 2000 and expanded quickly, acquiring Turf Care, a specialist golf course maintenance company, in 2002. Turf Care now has contracts for many of the nation’s leading golfi ng facilities.
Black Kubota also holds a franchise for the German Krone range of silage and hay equipment.
In 2004 it was the highest seller of Krone equipment in Queensland.
The company was also Queensland’s premier Kubota agricultural and turf care equipment supplier.

Phoenix Metalform has worked on a wide variety of projects for customers in many industries.
Perhaps some of the most prestigious jobs
have been providing metal trays for electrical
cables on a range of luxurious boats built by
Western Australian manufacturer Austal.
“We have provided almost all the cable trays
for Austal’s passenger catamarans in recent
years,” said Phoenix Metalform business
development manger Steve Tan.
“We have also supplied cable ladders and
trays for the private vessel built by Austal for
international golfer Greg Norman.”
Phoenix has recently provided cable trays
to a number of major construction and
mining projects.
“Everett Smith awarded us a contract
to supply cable trays for the new Coles
distribution centre in Perth which was recently
constructed,” Tan said.
“We supplied similar electrical cable support
metalwork to Lakes Electrical for the Yandi
iron ore project in Western Australia.”
Another mining contract saw Phoenix provide
instrument covers for the Ravensthorpe nickel
mine in Western Australia.
Other mining companies using Phoenix
electrical cable ladders and trays include
Dampier Salt, Newcrest Mining for its Telfer
gold mine, BHP in its Yandi iron ore pit, Iluka
Resources and Santos.
Phoenix’s work and customer base has not
been just limited to the mining industry.
Its electrical sheet metal products have been
used in the RAC headquarters in Perth as
well as the St John of God Hospital.
“We have also supplied cable ladders and
other electrical sheet metal work to Statewest
Power for use in many power stations around
the state,” Tan said.
“In Queensland, Phoenix has provided these
electrical products for a nickel smelter,
Gladstone Port Authority and the Curragh
coal mine at Townsville.”
Over many years Phoenix has exported
thousands of dollars worth of sheet metal
work to numerous countries around
the world.
There are Phoenix products in Indonesian
coal mines, Pakistan gas plants, a Chinese
pharmaceutical manufacturing plant, Malaysian
oil refineries and an Iranian gold plant.

The unique structural bulkhead design, complemented by a body configuration manufactured predominantly from aluminium plate and extruded sections, ensures longevity of the vehicle’s body and structure.
Mills-Tui Australia general manager John Hatchman said each fire brigade in each state had different operational requirements, so fire appliance vehicles need to be highly customised. “Government agencies will produce a very detailed technical specification – typically it will be around 100 pages of specifications – which we then interpret and design into a vehicle to meet that functional requirement. As a result, every fire appliance that we build is unique,” John said.
“In broad categories we build urban fire appliances, rural fire appliances which are used by the volunteer fire fighting associations in each state, rescue vehicles which tend to be used more for road accident rescue situations and mobile central command vehicles for major incidents where they need coordination of multiple vehicles. We have also produced many fire appliances for the mining sector, for companies such as BHP and Rio Tinto.”
