Project Joy Panama seeks to ensure a successful future for children in rural regions of Panama by providing school supplies and scholarships. The organization also facilitates community projects, including the construction of new schools. Each year, Project Joy Panama’s philanthropic efforts culminate at the group’s Annual Christmas Charity. At this event, the Tatum family and several community volunteers provide toys and food to more than 100 families. As the young boys and girls receive presents such as doll houses, bikes, and soccer balls, their families also leave the event with several pounds of meat, rice, and vegetables to ensure that they are well-fed during the holidays.
