Plug your neutralizer control valve into an outlet.

Press and hold either the up or down button until the programming icon replaces the service icon and the display reads “TD.”

Using the up and down buttons, set the time to 12:01 PM, then wait 5 seconds for the service icon to replace the programming icon before holding the up and down buttons together for 5 seconds.

(The programming icon is pictured right: it is the pen-like symbol under “TD.” )

Your display screen should now read “DF GAL.”

If you are in the U.S., press the extra cycle button to go to the next step.

If you are outside the U.S., use the up or down buttons to select Liters (Ltr) or Cubic Meters (Cu) as your display format, and then press the extra cycle button.

Step 2 – Display Format

The top left of your display screen should now read “VT,” for Valve Type.

Use the up and down buttons to select “Fltr.” This means your valve will be set for use as a filter.

Press the extra cycle button when done.

Step 3 – Valve Type

The top left of your display screen should now read “CT,” for Control Type.

Use the up and down buttons to select “TC.” This is Time Clock Delayed control, and this setting will regenerate your system on a timed interval of your choosing.

Press the extra cycle button when done.

Step 4 – Control Type

Step 5 – Day OverrideThe top left of your display screen should now read “DO,” for Day Override. This is the critical setting that allows your filter to routinely backwash after a fixed number of days.

Using the up and down buttons, set the day override between 1 and 14, depending on your particular system requirements.

Press the extra cycle button when done.

Step 6 – Regeneration TimeThe top left of your display screen should now read “RT,” for Regeneration Time.

Using the up and down buttons, set the regeneration time to 2:00 AM, or some time when no water is being used, and no other filter or softener is likely to be in a regeneration cycle.

Press the extra cycle button when done.

Step 7 – Regeneration Cycle Step Times• The top left of your display screen should now read “B1,” for Backwash. Set between 8-10

minutes and press extra cycle button.

• The top left of your display screen should now read “B2,” for 2nd Backwash. Set to 0 and press extra cycle button.

• The top left of your display screen should now read “RR,” for Rapid Rinse. Set to 6 minutes and press extra cycle button when done to save all settings and exit Master Programming Mode.

You’re done!

Note that the control valve may take several minutes to re-home and re-set after this process – do not unplug the control valve during this time.
