PROCESS DESCRIPTION FOR EFFLUENT TREATMENT PLANT:

Industries through waste liquor into rivers, canals etc. Before owing this liquid to outwards,

the plant which treats this euent to a harmless form for the environment is known as

Euent Treatment Plant. The Euent treatment Process is given Below

Bar Screen! bar screenis a mechanical "lter used to remove large o#$ects, such as

rags and plastics, from Euent.

Oil & grease Trap:%il & greasetrap is used for preventing the oil which should not come

into the collection tank. The %il'(rease Trap is provided a#ove the equali)ation tank which

operates round the clock and removes the oil content.

the purpose of maintaining desired ow rate as well as for making mi+ture homogeneous. It

)one #eneath the tu#e settlers and allows the larger oc to travel to the tank #ottom in a

more settlea#le form. The tu#e settler5s channel collects solids into a compact mass which

promotes the solids to slide down the tu#e channel.

through gravit* on dr*ing #ed for dewatering of sludge. 7ewatered sludge is sun dried

and is used as manure for gardening.

Filer Fee, Tan!The clari"ed water is passed to the "lter feed tank. 8rom here the

treated water is pumped to the car#on and sand "lters, where the suspended solids, colourand odour will #e removed.

Press$re San, Filers Pressure 4and 8ilter is recommended for the removal of

suspended solids & tur#idit* from water.

Aci.ae, Carbon Filer !ctivated car#on is used to remove contaminants and

impurities, using chemical adsorption.
