Preventive steps to be taken to avoid relapse of addiction

The fear of relapse is what kills an addict each day as well as his loved one, as they don’t want to go through the

whole trauma again. Although, living in fear greatly hampers your recovery and sobriet.Further we can discuss about

the preventive measures, which can be taken to lead a happy and healthy life without relapse.

One of the first and most common ways to prevent relapse is to surround yourself with people who are uplifting and

able to support you on your journey to recovery. This may include attending support groups or attaining ongoing

counseling. Being connected to such an environment can encourage the individual with their struggle and can prove

highly beneficial.

Another method that has proven beneficial in selected treatment programs for preventing relapse is alcohol and drug

relapse preventing kits that rely on changing one’s perception in form of therapy. Kits like this are based on theory

that perception shapes behaviors. Through the use of relapse preventionkits, one is lead through the process that

examines perceptions based on variety of influencers.

Introducing spiritual practices to assist one in opening the mind up to possibilities, practicing focus and clarity, and

acceptance in terms of “self” are highly effective. Applying methods like design psychology and feng shui. By looking

at these factors can gain a better understanding to how those perceptions produce your thinking. The awareness you

may gain about changing your thinking will assist you in making better choices, which will in turn help you improve

your life.

Journaling is another very powerful way to prevent relapse. Regardless of the method chosen by you for recovery, its

is important to find a method that is easy, incorporates psychotherapeutic techniques and offers education, guidance

and self help techniques that have been researched and studied as to their effectiveness in preventing relapse and

aiding in successful recovery and healing.
