It all began with a mission

In 2006 a small group of passionate people united in Denmark around a mission:

Challenging the dogmas of the flight industry, they created momondo: a free and inspirational travel search site offering complete price transparency across flights,

hotels and car hire deals.

Growing from the desire to open up the world to everyone, momondo has – for more than a decade –worked towards creating a travel universe based not

merely on functionality, but a bold and colourful platform that inspires more people to travel.

Flight InsightFlight Insight is a feature on the momondo website that shows how six key factors influence the price of a flight ticket. Flight Insight offers a high level of transparency in how airline companies set their prices and what factors to look for when searching for the cheapest tickets.

Price CalendarFares vary dramatically, so if users are flexible it’s worth checking flight prices on other departure and return dates. The momondo Price Calendar displays prices for the selected route on alternative dates, which enables users to see when it’s cheapest to fly.

Cheapest, Quickets and Best flightsTabs above the search result give users an overview of the cheapest, quickest and best flights. Together with a smiley face rating from 1 to 10, users are able to strike the best balance between convenience and cost.

TimetableTimetable lets users build their own ticket out of outbound and inbound flights, rather than sorting through a list of preconfigured flight combinations. This enables users with a tight schedule to find their perfect flight even more easily.

Fare AlertFare Alert is a feature on momondo’s website that allows users to monitor prices on flights to one or more specific destinations, making sure you always get the right price. Once set, the user will receive the prices for selected flights directly to their mailbox a maximum of twice a week.

Trip FinderTrip Finder lets users find and explore new destinations based on as many or as few preferences they like within budget, season, continent, weather and interests. Moreover, Trip Finder integrates emotional search criteria like moods, visualised with colours, into the flight search as a new way of navigating towards new destinations.

Anywhere SearchAnywhere Search gives users a completely new kind of search experience, inspiring them to broaden their horizons, discover new places and explore the world. Search a region, a country, a whole continent – or even anywhere – and be presented with a list of places, e.g. cities or countries, within their search parameters and filtered by popularity or price.

Best Price Guaranteemomondo offers a best price guarantee on rooms. If a user books a hotel room, found on momondo, and then finds it cheaper somewhere else online within 24-hours, momondo will refund the difference.

Draw on MapWith momondo’s unique feature, Draw on Map, users can draw any shape on the map and will only be shown the hotels in that area.

Near Me TonightIf a user is stuck without a bed for the night, momondo’s app and the Near Me Tonight feature will come in handy. Using the GPS on their device, it will show the user all the hotels near them which have free rooms for that night.

Each city guide is curated and updated by local writers, researchers and photographers on the ground and features more than 200 unique tips, each of which is colour-coded to moods – romantic, social, family, local, cultural, and

fancy – so there’s something to suit everyone, on any kind of holiday. Inspirational guides have been created for more than 20 cities, providing more

than 4000 tips tailored to travel mood.
