Day 1 – July 17– Home/ Wytheville, VA Today we depart for our exciting Summertime Adventure to the beautiful Hudson Valley region of Upstate New York. Our first day’s travel will take us to Virginia for our first overnight. An included get acquainted luncheon will highlight our day.

Day 2 – July 18– Wytheville / Hudson Valley / Poughkeepsie, NY We continue our journey north enjoying the work of Mother Nature during this special time of year as we travel to Poughkeepsie, NY, in the Hudson Valley, our home for the next three nights. How relaxing! Tonight we’ll enjoy an included din-ner. Day 3 – July 19– Hyde Park / FDR’s Home / Vanderbilt Mansion

We have an exciting day of touring today with our local guide as we visit Hyde Park, FDR’s Home, Museum & Library, and stop at the Walkway over the Hudson. The Frederic Vanderbilt mansion will also be on our agenda and tonight, an included dinner at Shadows on the Hudson.

Day 4 – July 20 – Kykuit / Union Church / Local Hudson Valley Touring Today our local guide will show us more of this beautiful region, as we depart for Kykuit, home to 4 generations of Rockefellers and Union Church of Pocantico Hills, famous for Chagall & Matisse stained windows. We’ll have an included lunch at Phillipsburg Manor and then visit Sunnyside, formerly the home of noted author Washington Irving, best known for “The Legend of

Sleepy Hollow”. This historic home is on 10 acres, alongside the Hudson River in Tarry-town, NY. Day 5 – July 21 – West Point Military Academy / Gettysburg Today we depart for West Point, where we will have a guided tour of the Academy, including Trophy Point and the Chapel, as well as the Museum and Visitor’s Center. We’ll have an included luncheon at Thayer Hotel at West Point and then travel to Gettysburg, PA for overnight.

Day 6 – July 22 – Gettysburg Military Park & Eisenhower Home / Virginia Today it’s a walk through American history as we tour the Gettysburg National Military Park and Bat-tlefield, where one of the most important battles of the Civil War was waged. On Nov. 19, 1863, President Lincoln dedicated the Gettysburg National Cemetery on the battlefield, delivering his famous speech. We will visit the Eisenhower home as well. Following our tour, we will have an included lunch at a historic inn in Gettysburg and then continue to Virginia for our last overnight. Day 7 – July 23 – Wytheville / Home Today we return home with many fond memories of a Summertime Adventure to the Hud-son Valley Region. An included luncheon will highlight our day. CANCELLATION POLICY: A cancellation penalty of $100.00 will be charged once deposit has been made. Cancellations 60 days or less prior to departure are subject to additional cancellation fees, based on charges passed on to us by our vendors. NO REFUNDS after the trip has started. Trip cancellation waiver is available for $145 per person and would allow for a full refund with the exception of the cost of the waiver in the event of illness.
