• Wildlife traditionally refers to non-domesticated animal species, but has come to include all plants, fungi and other organisms which grow or live wild in an area without being introduced by humans.[1] Domesticating wild plant and animal species for human benefit has occurred many times all over the planet, and has a major impact on the environment, both positive and negative.

• All the things we use and consume are obtained from

• natural resources. Due to increase in population,

• industrialization and urbanization the demand for natural

• resources is increasing and their availability is limited . So

• there is a need for proper management of natural resources.

• The proper management of natural resources consists of :-

• i) Judicious use of natural resources and avoiding wastage

• of natural resources.

• ii) Long term planning for the use of natural resources so

• that it last not only for the present but also for future

• generations.

Mixed Forest• P.E.I: gently rolling lowland, but in the

middle of the province is a small hilly section

• Squares of small wooded areas, patches of yellow grain and fields of potatoes blanket the island

• Heavy logging in 1800’s resulted in loss of P.E.I’s thick forests, but woodlands of maples, spruces and white birches thrive once again

• Provincial Tree- Northern Red Oak• Wildflowers bloom from May through

October
