Make Central New York a healthy place where all human modes of travel are safe, accessible, and easy.
Create a clear, unified Citizens’ Plan for Action with specific goals for a connected network of routes for cycling, hiking, walking, and wheeling throughout Central New York

Conduct ongoing forums and use new avenues of communication i.e. Google docs

Develop Resource Directory to include maps
Create designated website devoted to safe trails for walking, hiking, cycling, and wheeling
Validate health benefits of walking, hiking, cycling
Create aps for handheld instruments with historical, recreational, environmental information
Review collection of maps and resources – create a database and directory
Make information available to public – website
Collaborate with partners to create website
RECOMMENDATIONS STRATEGIES
Connect trails and walking tours throughout city and county to eventually connect throughout NYS
Complete Loop the Lake trail around Onondaga Lake
Support plans for Erie Canalway trail through Syracuse
Support projects that promote healthy urban design
Create trails that are accessible to persons of all abilities
Improve air quality near trails and plant wind barriers
Collaborate with all partners and interested parties
