Like most projects this starts with a box that is transformed into two seprate shapes that create two masses. These two mases are different in shape and interlock each other. The space inbe-tween the two shapes becomes a sytems of ramps that create flow within the project.

The project is oriented onto the site so that the four main circulation intersetions can be con-nected. This is by placing the design in the center, it becomes a link to these four intersections. This allowes the project to have have three main openings.

The center of the project consits of two ramps that meet at a platform. This connects the three main areas of the project. The two lower spaces at each end and the one upper space.

The program is a 10,000 SF bike station located within a nine block area of the northwest part of the loop in Chicago. It contains not only storage for bikes but a cafe, retail space, bike rental, facilties and a parking garage. The form of the building started out a series of connecting trinigular tubes that connect to different parts of the site togther. The bike station program is enclosed within four main tubes that contain the major partion of the program for the station: storage, facilties and commercail space. Within the two minor tubes connect the four main tubes with cafes and circulation space.
-
SThe key programs of the station are located within the four main tubes: commercail and storage. The two smaller tubes taht connect the two street sides togehter contain connecting program: circualtion and cafe. The garage is a underground structure that folds and bends underneath the main structure.
-
Arial site view
There are connections made from three major access points two main road and one back alley way entracnace. These points connected create the main four tubes of the building then one is bent to connect the two street tubes creating never ending continous conection within the site. The plan is designed to have the most interaction with the architecture and to increase the amount of expsure to the building.

Folding Motion03 Roadside Soccer Stadium
Light Entrance Balconies Outlook TerracesCatolog of Folds
This project consists of a series of folds that create differnet conditions for viewing a soccer game. It allows the spectator to view the game from all angles and doesnt limit him to one viewing angle for th whole game. It does this by, a series of folds that create areas of light, access, balconies, terraces and an outlook. That is then applied to a loop that surrounds the field, which is place adjacent to the road.

Extrude Remove Remove
Extrude Core Remove Helix A Helix B Double Helix
The concept behinf the project is two seprate towers, were one is private the other is pub-lic. These two towers twist wrap around each other creating a double helix shape with a central void. This void then allows a connection between the two seprate towers.
-
The program is seperated into two towers, one holds the private and the other holds the public program. This allows a seperation from the the noise and movemnt of each of the towers.

Stacked Hydro City05 Navy Pier Redesigned Residence
Lake Michigan is 1 of 5 large bodies of fresh water in the world, making the area a desir-able place to live. A conventional pier is the connection and exchange between land and water circulation. This proposal is to derive maximum benefit from superimposing on the site elements of a neighborhood, in the most efficient manner to crate segregation and layout of program within each layer. This proposal connects the existing city with the lake to provide more residential, commercial and recreational space adjacent to the shoreline.

The project comprises a stacked morphology, so that it accommodates, zones of the major programmatic categories. This stacking, is not unlike the experience of a high-rise building, with its superimposed floors all capable of supporting different programmatic events, yet all contribute to a summation that is more than the accumulation of parts. Deploying differ-ent layers and organizations within each layer create a new stacked urbanism.
