Choloroform etc. You must anesthized or sedate the Horse in

standing position always.

Tail Docking It may be done due to owner demand

because he or she like his horse beautiful without tail .

Other reason due to injury or may be Malignanant Tumor cases results in tail docking of horses.

Tail docking also called Ampulation of tail. Tail docking in other words called

irrepairable injury.

Preparation Turn back the hairs at the side of operation,

and tied the tail with loop at the side of operation.

Site In case of Malignant Disease or injury, the

base of lession is a site of surgery.

Control If we use docking knife, it apply a twitch

and a force foot held up, or servies hobbles put on.

Inject local anesthezia hypodermically in four phases around the tail above the site of operation.

Complications Complications are not common but some

times tetnus ans necrosis of the terminal vertebare in the stump and if it prolong so necrosis part separate from the body and it irritated to horse.
