Godofhopeandhospitality,

Sourceofloveandlife,

Knownthroughouttheages,

inallcornersoftheworld,

inmanyformsandunderstandings.

WeturntoyouOGodofallouryears,

inthisspaceoftime,

inthismomentinhistory,

foryourguidance,blessingandstrength.

You,HolyPresenceofrushingwindandburningfire,

igniteinusanewpassion--

apassionofservicetooneanother.

Onthisdaythatdawnsfreshbeginnings,

birthusanew.

Whenhubrisoverpowers,

supplyuswithhumilityandgrace.

Whenconvenienceinvitesustoignorethemarginalized,

openoureyesandprovideuswithcompassionandlove.

Whenthetemptationtobecomplicitovercomesus,

grantusthecapacitytoresist.Andwhenillusionsandfalsehoodsbecomeacceptablenorms,

birthuswiththeaudacitytospeaktruthinloveforallthatisright.
